COTM: June 2017 Submission Thread
Quick Shoutout to last month's winner
Jon Kuligowski, aka madness410, broke the camera out & snapped some drool-worthy pics of his gorgeous WS.6! Naturally, he submitted one of them for COTM voting & he won! Check out the winning photo below: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now, moving on to this month... Follow Madness410's lead and toss up a picture of your F-Body for us! We'll vote for our favorite at the end of the month, give that car a spot in our COTM archive & send out a NJFBOA decal! Let's take submissions through Wednesday, July 5th & open the polls thereafter :) Let's see those FBodies! ttiwwp |
1995 Chevrolet Z28 Convertible
Car was purchased in 2001 off of a used car lot while on vacation. Within the first month it got the stripes, chrome 16" Trans Am wheels, a high flow cat/catback, CAI, and a Hypertech programmer. Since then, the only addition has been three-point subframe connectors. In the meantime, it's been a lovely cruiser, roaming the curvy roads of Northwest NJ and the shoreline. https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/614/31...a89f2922_z.jpg |
Blue Maxi COTM
1 Attachment(s)
I am submitting The Blue Maxi for my friend Jerry Schmidt who sadly passed away a few weeks ago at the age of 76. Although Jerry wasnt a member but he followed through me because he wasnt good with computers.
PLEASE SEE MY POST ABOUT THE MEMORIAL CRUISE TO THE CHATTERBOX ON JULY 8 AFTER HIS MEMORIAL SERVICE. This car and my Sunoco Camaro were asked to attend the Carlisle Chevrolet Nationals in the Invitational Display along side the first Camaro Built and the LS V12 Camaro (among other jaw dropping F Bodies) for the 50 Anniversary of the Camaro & Firebird. We had been planning on this show since Oct of last year and not even death was going to stop the car from going as it was Jerry's biggest accomplishment to have the car shown there. It was the cover car in Car & Driver Magazine in July 1969 and the Feature Test Car in August. He bought it from the original owner in April 1971 and maintained it in pristine condition, but would drive to many weekly cruises in the North Jersey area. Out of over 1000 cars that were registered for the Nationals, this car was chosen to win the highest award at the event and one of the highest in the country: the historic Vehicle Association's "This Car Matters Award"! The car is now on the world stage and is going to be seen by millions with all the attention its been getting at the Nats. IF he is awarded COTM I'll be sure that the NJFBOA sticker is displayed somewhere with the car as it is going to be documented by the HVA for submission to the same Registry VIN 10001. It would be a great honor for his car to receive COTM especially considering he died this month. |

close enough 1996 WS6 6speed Acquired this car in 2007 after I wrecked my 94 formula while falling asleep behind the wheel (oops). Never fell asleep after that, hit the back of a tractor trailer. I was only 18! I got the car from eBay, and it was bone stock. First thing I did was buy a GMMG exhaust right from GMMG, as the flowmaster was rotting out of the car. Also threw in an eBay short throw shifter, and some poly/poly BMR LCAs. I soon learned how to really modify the car properly, and bought Brian's headlights. Mods: LPP Longtube Headers LPP Offroad Y pipe PCM4LESS Tune GMMG Catback SPEC Clutch BMR Subframe Connectors Boxed Stock Rear LCAs 3.73s Koni 4/4s Strano Springs UMI Adjustable Torque Arm with Relocation Crossmember Adj Panhard Bar MGW Shifter LS1 Front Brakes Brian's HIDs Full Sound System! Car is a work in progress, focusing on a house with a garage right now... which may actually be within the next few months! Maybe one day I'll have slicks on it and take it to a track rental |
Ban him, Bonzo!!!!

If you look at the doors there is a red white and blue flag in the Car & Driver logo. Does that count? That's Jerry behind the wheel.
Come on guys this car NEEDS to be COTM for June! Although Jerry was not a registered member it was only because he wasn't good with computers but I kept him informed about the group. He was planning on going to ALL the rallys I offered to organize for this year. Sadly he didn't get the chance to do it in this life but I am sure he will watch over us from above. RIP Jerry, your car was the star of the Nats! |
