Elusive BDLD

so last night johnny boy comes over to tune the squirrelmobile and the SS...the SS tune goes over like cake at a fat camp, truck runs good.....my car on the other hand, has the one GM prom code that no one has, BDLD....i search for 2 hours and come up with nothing, i put up posts on cz28 and SD and no one has replied to either of them, so i emailed the guys at pcm4less, havent received a reply yet, hopefully Al can hook me up....so we try a zf6 trans'ed vette tune, makes the car idle at 2 grand, terrific ......
[/vent]
if anyone happens to stumble a stock BDLD file, please hit me up

Little G's got your chip. I gave it too him yesterday at Fudds.
I didn't have time to go through the hack and find how to shut off the air pump diagnostics but a good datalog with diacom should help me get your part throttle stuff sorted out. This chip is basically slightly hotter, has a soft rev limiter (pulls timing) at 6400rpm and a hard limiter at 6500rpm. I also leaned out the WOT stuff a tad and lowered the idle ever so slightly (100rpm less). Let me know how it feels and if the fans work. They should keep the car right at above 180.

Is your tune only for SD OBDI cars?

No, I can do anything. Only I haven't bothered with the Lt1 flash prom stuff much because nobody ever asked. 8)
I can even do Ford EEC-IV's, Fiero's, Cavi's, Trucks up until 95. The reason I don't do much of the newer stuff is the cost of the software/hardware packages to tune them.

ar0ck 11-10-2004 09:19 PM

Out of curiosity, where do you find the software/hardware?

Squirrel 11-10-2004 10:20 PM

ty gave it to me today, looks so pretty :D...didnt have time to get it in though, got home around 3:50 and was at work by 3:58 :P....ill get matt to do the fans tomorow and ill test it out ....ill let ya know how much you are the man 8)...

DieselKickYoAss4Sure 11-13-2004 06:22 PM

unfortunatly the chip may not do much good for you until you fix the opti it was breaking up pretty bad that one day but if you do want to change it ill be more than happy to give you a hand since ive done one before you should do the water pump at the same time since the water pumps leak on the opti when they go bad and you dont want water to get in the new opti but who knows we will see what happens with the chip maybe the opti can wait.

He's got my special mix up with all the "normal stuff" like fan temps, spark advance, fuel trimming. I then added a soft rev limiter which basically pulls a bunch of timing RIGHT before the fuel cut (hard limiter). This way you'll feel the power drop off and know to shift. I can't give you the rest of my secrets

Squirrel 11-14-2004 09:47 PM

wow......Prevo=la man :D....coming home from work tonight, i felt the need to test it out....usually in these conditions (a cold night) powershifting second results in a nice kick sideways and after a lil while it straightens out.....not tonight ....i roll around the turn in first in stab it, first goes spinning all to hell(not suprised) but when i ripped second hard something weird happened, my neck wasnt jerked a little bit like usual, my whole head was pointed at about a 45* angle facing the oncoming lane.....i loved it :D

89 Trans Am WS6 11-15-2004 10:13 AM

nice nice

Squirrel 11-15-2004 04:04 PM

hm....stopped over matt's after school to do the fans, he does his thing, turn on car and watch the temp gauge start to sweep...100, 160, "here they come"....they dont :?, 220, at ~240 i kick it off and make matt redo them....theres gotta be something wrong....my car will never see closed loop
