Dont tell me this.

I knew about the plate to cover the hole, but i have not heard anything about the dash harness needing to be switched as well.

thats a whole can of worms i did not want to get into.

MDSheds_SS 09-21-2016 02:37 PM

I opened that can of worms and this is how I closed it... http://a65.tinypic.com/2m3r68o.jpg

Bought a auto roller and swapped the motor/trans 4L60e

Why the dash harness? For the tcc lock/unlock? And neutral safety?

MDSheds_SS 09-21-2016 02:49 PM

There is a way around it but it's defunity not plug and play.

I don't remember 100% of all the issues, I just know my father and I traced wires for a few days before we got it started. Having the dash harness makes it plug and play and much earlier/cleaner IMO.

That is what im going to have to look into then.

I dont want to go T56.

I dont make making a couple harnesses and repins, thats fine with me.

Id prob be more incline to go with a TH350 than a T56

Punkmaster 98 09-21-2016 09:09 PM

looks like a sweet project :)

LS1ow 09-22-2016 11:35 AM

Jokes on me.

Pretty sure car doesnt have a dash harness in it. I just remembered looking were the PCM sits and there being an open space on the firewall behind it.

Looks like ill be getting a Auto dash harness after all

LS1ow 09-23-2016 06:32 AM

Plot Twist.

I checked again last night and upon inspection, there were connectors shoved inside the firewall. I also pulled the radio area faceplate off and there was wires going to the foglamp n Traction switch.

Anyone got a pic of what the dash harness plugs look like just so i can confirm?

since i have no self control i needed to do this.

I currently have a LS6 intake and P&P TB for my car, the BLS in me wants to spend the extra $ and go with a FAST right out the box, but with the heads i will be running on the car the extra money for the fast would be better applied to something else. Like actually having an engine. :-?

So in an effort to prevent me from selling my LS6 for less than i paid for it and spending an additional $900 on a intake and TB....

ARTS & CRAFTS !
