But I'm not taking the console.....and he's looking for an a4 console.....

Adam got the 6 speed pedals in trade for his Auto Set up.

If your swapping your car to 6 speed and would be willing to swap out your A4 console for my M6 console id be okay with that

BonzoHansen 11-03-2016 07:26 AM

Adam, is that pedal for that 2nd gen you mentioned?

BonzoHansen 11-03-2016 10:39 AM

Goodies.

Fuel Rails and Billet coil brackets showed up yesterday.

Fuel rails look pretty awesome.

Coil brackets look solid, but the finish is pretty weird. Like it has some form of clear on it and its fading. Going to try to polish em later today.

Pics tonight

Coil pack brackets? Did you get non-OEM ones or something?

Fuel Tank Questions

Picked up my fuel tank at atco. As far as a pump goes ill most likely be running a wally 255 in the factory bucket, but while the tank is on the work bench i have some questions.

There is a ton of nonsense on this thing. What do i not need/can i cap off/delete?

That's all evap **** mounted to the tank. If you are deleting codes in computer, sawzall everything in half. Run a simple carb fuel filter on the evap line coming out of the tank/sending unit.

No, OEM coils. But i would need to buy factory coil brackets anyway bc i dont have them. so i figured may as well have 1 shiny thing on car.

pics?

and what you mean deleting stuff from computer?

Im going to run a LS6 Valley-Catch Can-Throttle Body. Breather filter on the driver side valve cover and blocked off vents on passenger cover along with a filter in place of a oil cap. very similar to how Kirk is running his.

So what to do with all the EVAP mumbojumbo?

Tuner can handle said duties ?

If you are still looking for valve covers, if you want my wrinkle red covers for $100 they are yours. Powder coated not spray paint. They should fit your coil brackets. If not mine are gloss black and you can have them with the covers.

I went back and forth with it and decided that the money I would spend n them would be better applied elsewhere.

Fancy things can come after the car starts !

Without the rest of the parts... I'd be stuck with no center console.

Also... DAMN YOU ADAM.

sweetbmxrider 11-10-2016 06:35 AM

Hey, things can be traded for monies :D

well in the event you get the other stuff and need the console just let me know. Rather just drop it off to you instead of ship it to some rando in Utah off tech.

Results.

Here is my solution to ballin' valve covers not being cost effective at this time.

$7 can of VHT Wrinkle black and $38 billet coil brackets

Not as "Wrinkley" as a power job would be, but it like it better than just flat black. Its deff got some texture to it.

Ive painted small parts on my jeep with it before. What i did was follow the instructions on the can. Which is 3 heavy coats one right after another. 1 coat side to side, 1 coat up and down, and 1 coat on a a diagonal. It goes on smooth and when it cures it get the texture. The 3 direction coating makes it wrinkle in a few directions, thus a better finish.

I threw them in the oven for 20 mins @ 200 right after laying the paint down.

VC's came out pretty good. Are you running the stock coils or another OE version? Just curious.

Stock coils as of now. Unless i can find something else.

KirkEvil 11-10-2016 12:14 PM

Valve covers came out great knowing what they looked like before that haha. Since you bought those coil brackets, looks like you have no choice but to run ls1 style coils
