Stock F-Body Y-Pipes SUCK!

http://img86.echo.cx/img86/455/cutout9xc.jpg

Story:
I bought a 3" Flowtech Cut-out the other day assuming I could put it before my cat to make some noise. I called Mineke this morning, telling them I needed it done ASAP since I'm going to a huge cruise night tommorow in Maryland. So I picked up the cut-out i orderd from a local shop, and headed back to Mineke, they tell me I have to wait an hour. I killed some time, came back and was told to put it on the lift. As soon as It went up I relized I was ****ed. The god dam Y-pipes collect at the Cat!!! So the only place was mid way through my 3" cat-back. I said no thanks, I didnt want them cutting up my cat-back. So the only way I can put a cut-out in is to delete the cat, and put the cut-out in its place. I'll probably have them make both ends swapable for inspection, when I have more time & money. bastards!

Cliffnotes : Cut-Out doesnt fit on stock 93-95 F-body Y-pipe.

i dont think theres a point to doing that alex...if someone looks they are still gonna see this thing comming out of the "cat"...the time and effort wouldnt be worth it IMO...i would say just do a cat delete pipe with the tins welded to it so it looks like a cat then put the cutout behind it...not to burst your bubble and its a semi origonal idea but just not a very good one IMHO

idea put the cat back some weld it up and put the cut out in the place the cat used to be their you do a few hours a couple of cuts in the hands and a bad mood at the end youl be good to go but just an idea thats what i would do if i had a cut out but then again i dont have a cat lol

again, another idea that sounds ok at first but moving the cat at all is illegal and moving it further downstream makes it less efficient because it wont heat up as quickly. Again...if you dont want the cat to effect power just remove the ****er.

bill is correct....you get the same fine if you move it, or take it out, so you might as well take it out......

hmm.....that makes me think....

im...catless, still no inspection sticker, above decible level, tint is too dark, hmmmmmmmmm

how do i get out of it

No I am not retarted, I assumed the set up was similar to my old Trans Am, then I relized it had an Off-Road Y-pipe.
