Depends on your... life?

rickyd13 05-21-2012 02:49 PM

its an absolute pig on gas and needs a few little things to be done such as to my knowledge heater core ac lines lock actuators and a few more things but then again mostly the gas with the new motor I'm jus dumping gas like crazy

LTb1ow 05-21-2012 02:54 PM

Spray it.

S.J.SLEEPER 05-21-2012 02:58 PM

1995 ???
Step 1.
Go to local Marina

Step 2.
Attach motor to chain

Step 3.
attach chain to Large Boat

Step 4.
Watch boat leave & utilize it as a boat anchor

rickyd13 05-21-2012 03:11 PM

lol is there any way to get better milage with the car?

LTb1ow 05-21-2012 03:18 PM

Don't run the engine usually helps a little

Anti_Rice_Guy 05-21-2012 03:24 PM

How you drive makes a HUGE impact.

rickyd13 05-21-2012 03:31 PM

i i get anywhere from 6-10 mpg depending how i do thats city with a little highway mixed in there does that seem right

Anti_Rice_Guy 05-21-2012 03:33 PM

Depends on what was done when the motor was rebuilt. Sounds like a radical motor and/or you have an incredibly heavy foot

V 05-21-2012 03:38 PM

Donate it to me... I'll give you back the drivetrain and interior, so I can use the chassis for a custom build project, and then once I finish my part, I'll donate it to Alex Q, who had his 95 Z28 crushed by a tree, so he can bring his back to life.

rickyd13 05-21-2012 03:48 PM

it has a lt1 the cylinders were honed out a little to clean up the walls it the only real mod is the gm hot cam other then that it has roller rockers and lifters new pistons and new heads that i believe are stock maybe jus milled down a little bit

LS1ow 05-21-2012 05:19 PM

2JZ swap.

rickyd13 05-21-2012 05:24 PM

yeah right now your jus getting funny but is there any way i could get better milage or anything that may be causing it

Anti_Rice_Guy 05-21-2012 05:33 PM

Is the tune right? How are the basic tune up items? How are you driving it? You should be getting way better mileage.

NJ Torque 05-21-2012 07:03 PM

Mods? Info?....

rickyd13 05-21-2012 09:34 PM

i think its in need of a good tune and what do you mean the basic tune up items and the list is up top

NJ Torque 05-21-2012 09:37 PM

Plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter.

rickyd13 05-21-2012 09:47 PM

all new with the new motor my gpa was saying the the cat was going on his truck and the gas was going to **** but i don't have that sulfur smell

rickyd13 05-29-2012 04:50 PM

thinking on selling the car it is black on black on black 1995 z28 vert with the a4 it has new motor with the rollers and hot cam along with new heads and pistons the roof is also new and i have the boot for when the roof is down car has about 97k on the body and 1k on the motor has leather seats with driver side power car has kumho exstas that were put on about 5k ago and new brake pads done at the same time as the motor if anyone is looking for a car for the summer let me know

greenformula92 05-30-2012 07:38 AM

Don't sell it. If I were you I would give it a once over. check all the vacumn lines and such and spend then money to have another tune made. you will enjoy the car that much more
