Big events to do

My car is being upgraded and repaired over the winter and being set up for multipurposes of different tracks. It should be ready my Feb is the goal. There are several events I want to do and need help to do them and it’s an opportunity to have fun, travel, and use our cars for there intended purpose. If I get a copilot you of course will get to drive my firebird as long as you have the skill to do so. I have a truck and trailer and share costs of course. We can go as a team for those interested. So get a hold of me if it’s something your interested in.

1st event is the TX2k held in Royal purple raceway Baytown Tx. March 15-18
2nd event Texas mile event held in Victoria airport in Victoria Texas. March 23-25 must have Texas mile profile if you want to drive.
3rd event and my favorite Hot Rod Power Tour June 9th to the 15th. Start and finish venues will be out the end of this week.

All the pipes are rebuilt with added flex joints, full fuel system upgrades, 76 mm turbo upgrade, nitrous upgrade, roll bar to roll cage, replace roof, paint damages, new interior components. Have a lot being done! Shooting for it to be done by Motorama in Feb for its first show.

I’ve done 6 with 4 by myself. It’s a great time just would be better if I had a copilot and some help.

I was thinking about driving to Alaska in 2018, but I think I am going to hold off until 2019, so I have no immediate plans for any of my vacation next year. Barring don't find more project vehicles that I have to drive cross country to pick up :kneeslap:

Man I wish I had that much free time! Sounds like a solid year.

firebirdcrazy 12-07-2017 02:46 PM

It’s mainly an east coast power tour. Starting in Bowling green Kentucky and ending in concord NC at zmax raceway!!

elle 12-07-2017 04:28 PM

Can I ask what you do for a living? How do you get that much time off? And yes I'm jealous! Enjoy the trip!

That sounds like a good one for me to go to

BonzoHansen 12-07-2017 06:07 PM

Ya, that's probably as good as a route as we can hope for

I work for a federal agency so I accumulate a lot of vacation hours a year! Working for the agency over 16 years!

The Texas events I need help can’t do those by myself! Really do need a team. The hot rod power tour is something that can be done alone! It’s more fun with a group or a copilot to help.

The problem with Texas, well actually even Power Tour, is that it is too hot. I have been to Texas in the middle of "winter" and it was too hot. I can't ever go back there. If you want to go to the drag strip in Alaska, I will take time off work without pay if necessary

And it probably melted a few hours later. I saw someone posted a pic of their second gen on the NastyZ FB page of it with snow.

I was in the San Antonio area in February. It was in the low 90s during the day and down into the high 60s at night, it was torture

Lol that’s why we have air conditioning. Both my truck and the firebird have Good working air conditioning it’s not that bad in Texas.

Yes, yes it is. It's worse in summer. Air in your vehicles is irrelevant, I would still have to exit them to do things
