Matt that would be awesome if you could help me out with that spare. And yes i did see your car TTP. I asked Joe about it, and the car looked pretty sick, needs the front clip painted but its far from a heep.

Bolts right in, just have to paint it. If you going forced induction I would defiantly skip the 12 bolt.

Thanks man, i will give them a call in a few weeks when i pull the rear. Next question for you guys, while the rear is out I'm changing the fuel pump. Do i need to go with a double pump or will a single 255 pump work.....keeping in mind that i decided to go with a LQ9 iron block, AFR heads, and a ported stock intake. Unsure of what cam, but this motor will be running 15-20 lbs of boost.

Blackbirdws6 08-09-2013 05:15 AM

Definitely go with dual pumps if you plan on throwing that kind of boost at the motor.

Gotta make sure those tires are stored above like 20* indoors in a trash bag.

Awesome meats though.

Adam, do you know if allan at alltime has a fender roller. I want get these fenders rolled before the new set of tires go on. Matt thanks man for that spare, i can now pull the stock wheels off the car and start the work. Thanks again guys.

sweetbmxrider 08-18-2013 10:33 AM

Yup he does.

bigz28man 08-19-2013 02:18 AM

Thanks man, I'll have Allen qoute me a price. Had yet another disappointed night at wall speedway, my buddy wrecked his modified pretty good. I dont know what it is with those motors they are running but they just seem to sound so much better then what i have. I guess the solid roller cam and head flow plus the fact the exhausted pipes are a mear 3 feet long have alot to do with it.

sweetbmxrider 08-19-2013 07:14 AM

Hahaha yeah I'm sure that makes them sound a little racecarish

sweetbmxrider 08-24-2013 12:23 PM

Watched you go by on 35, looks and sounds great

Thanks man i would have stopped if i knew you were at the shop. You could have heard the ever familiar sound of exhaust leak. Blow my third set of header gaskets. It may be time to look into kooks headers and get rid of these hooker headers.

sweetbmxrider 08-30-2013 07:03 AM

It was fuggin loud and deep  Happy Belated Bday too.

Came across a odd locking lug nut on my driver side rear that i have never seen before. It appears to have 8 individual groves on the exterior of this lug nut. Anyone have a key that would remove it?

WildBillyT 09-08-2013 09:01 AM

Hammer a like-sized socket on it?

bigz28man 09-24-2013 01:56 AM

Update for everyone reading: sent two wheels to mark at markyouspotpowdercoating. Should have those in two weeks and i will post photos of them when i get them back. Finally found a engine block for this car....will be getting that in three weeks its a lq4 with front and rear covers thats its. $450 for it meeting the guy at the lionheads circle out near medferd nj. I had the stock air box removed off the car, and 90*bellow installed so the car is now officially able to be taken apart. Many photos to come, I'll keep everyone posted, much to take place in the next three weeks. Should have the entire front end off the car by then and the block at the machine for cleaning and prep.

I have really thought about replacing the lt1 with it down the road with a few minor add ons so it put out alittle more hp than the 396. Or maybe putting it into a 3rd gen.

bigz28man 09-27-2013 09:49 PM

Quick question i need answered, are the lq4 and lq9 blocks the same? I know lq9 use a flat style piston where the lq4 uses a repressed piston causing the compression in the lq9 to be higher but block for block are they the same? Thanks guys.
