Tinting my windows

I've decided on getting 5% all around and I need to find a reputable shop around Princeton.

I am by no means trying to save money (I want it done RIGHT). Anyone have any pleasurable experiences with shops around there??

If you come up North, Tri-State window tinting has a really good reputation.

Im going into the City for mine, super cheap, quick, and a good job. Many of my friends have gone to this one place in the City and they do an awsome job.

I was looking for something near central jersey... like less than 30 minutes away from me lol

do you know how much they charge njspeeder?

ar0ck 10-23-2005 09:47 PM

FYI, F-Bodies usually run around 150+ for all the windows. The hatch is the killer, and requires the most effort.

NJSPEEDER 10-23-2005 09:49 PM

i think it is around 150 liek alex said.

WOW.. I got quoted at 175 for the hatch alone at the nearest place by me...

maybe I should be looking elsewhere....

Squirrel 10-23-2005 09:53 PM

ry, my boy used to work there, ill send him an IM the next time i see him on

edit: the hatch is 3 peices iirc

ryanfx 10-23-2005 09:55 PM

thanks eric

ar0ck 10-23-2005 10:36 PM

I got quoted for $190 from Tri-State, for 5% on the Hatch, and 20% on the sides, and that included removing the my old side tint (which I will be removing myself this weekend)

sound automotive on quakerbridge road in hamilton does good work and uses 3m tape with a lifetime warrenty

ryanfx 10-24-2005 07:29 AM

thanks guys - i'll give those places a call later today

deadtrend1 10-24-2005 07:32 PM

Remember though ... anything on the sides or front is illegal and you wont get through any state inspection stations. Cops in certain towns give hassle too about it .... specially this one town right next to me....

I had a shop around the corner from me (well, actually about 3 miles away but its really only one turn) do my back hatch with 5% limo tint for 80 bucks. PLace is called E+F auto glass on haddonfield road in pennsauken

qwikz28 10-24-2005 07:34 PM

ryanfx 10-24-2005 08:31 PM

80 dollars damn...

yeah I know all of the legal consequences.. it's just too damn good looking to say no.

It's like a hot hooker you know will give you the clap

Squirrel 10-24-2005 08:58 PM

you can always pull the eye doctor thing..."the sun hurts my eyes while driving" 8)

qwikz28 10-24-2005 09:27 PM

or just roll down your windows if you see a cop up ahead

ryanfx 10-24-2005 09:41 PM

I know someone that got pulled over for having all of his windows down while it was snowing lol

the cop had reasonable doubt that he was up to no good lol =p

Tsar 10-24-2005 10:42 PM

I was thinking them too. From what I hear they do excellent work. Thats probably where I will be going to get mine done.

Well if their tint work is anything like their stereo installs, it must be great work.
