1999 Firebird Forumula
I was 14 years old when I found the 4th generation Fbody and 6 years later I finally purchased my first, a 1999 Pontiac Firebird Formula, which I found on Ls1tech. The car was located about 30 miles from Herkimer, NY where I vacation with friends about 3x a year and when I first saw the listing in June it was the day I had just gotten back from said home. :bertstare: Fast forward to early August and the car is still for sale, I PM'd the guy and put a $500 non refundable deposit on it, On August 8, 2011(my 20th birthday) I signed the title and she was mine.
When I bought it. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2..._3634244_n.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2..._5430540_n.jpg You can see the LT1 t/a he was parting. He gave me the mint door panels from that car, the stock wheels ls1 wheels and he was going to give me the t/a hatch but the glass was cracked. I actually changed the wheels out in his driveway and left them there because he left a stock hurst shifter installed and gave me the door panels. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...84/bnew421.jpg Having some fun with the new car on a private airstrip just hours after I purchased it. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...84/bnew451.jpg Just got back to the cabin after a day of offroading  http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...84/bnew526.jpg The interior when I got it home. |

car looks good, always feels great to finally get the car you really wanted. Good choice swapping those aftermarket wheels, they ruined the look of the car.

Been a while. This is what it's looked like for a while. Took off the stripes and put the stock wheels back on after hitting a deer around 15-20 mph. Got lucky and only damaged the hood so I bent it back into place and used some touch up till I can find a new hood. Gonna upgrade brakes with brakemotive parts and the headlights are getting upgraded for sure. Also have a phb on the way. |
how many miles?

Nice ride, I lie looking at these long term threads where you can see a car progress with the new owner.

Just rolled 90k. Just did the PHB and LCA's. Stock ones were shot. Got a trans am hatch on the way and possibly leather seats. I am getting bored with it though so I'll have to get some new time's and then do a cam or install my TNT kit.
