Anyone planning to go to this?

BonzoHansen 05-18-2015 09:07 AM

I can't, wish i could

BonzoHansen 06-02-2015 09:07 PM

This Sunday. I might go now. Depends on if we win Saturday.

Scott, let me know when you know (text). A little more info here http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=328418

I may go if I'am not working an event. Any idea how long and far it is to this show from Central, New Jersey?

KevinW 06-03-2015 06:11 AM

Ed, it will be closer to 2 hours for you. Its 1.5 hours from Trenton area. I figure on leaving around 7:30am if I can get free to get there around 9am.

edpontiac91 06-03-2015 09:42 PM

It's about 1 hour and 40 minutes and 101 miles by my TomTom GPS. The weather looks great (so far) so I think I should hold up the Firebird Class and maybe bring home an award. Around here there are too many Mom and Pop events where maybe 2-3 Firebirds show up, but always a slue of Lambo doors-Superchargers-Custom Paint and wheels and tires of 5th Gen Camaros with enough aftermarket stuff spent, to redo my house from top to bottom.

Too bad that special Firebird show in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., fell apart. There is another all Pontiac show put on by the Pypes company out in Pa. coming up also.

I am not on any events this weekend, so I am going to this show. I figure to leave around 6:30 am and not have to rush, but enjoy the weather and the trip down South Jersey. :grampsch:

Ed, sounds good. Our convoy (2 or 3 cars :)) is a little later, Meeting at Dunkin Donuts on Rt168 (right off Rt 295 south) around 9am. You bringing the Red Formula in your Sig I assume? I will be driving the orange 69 in mine. Stop by if you see us!

This show was one of the best I have ever been to. The area was very clean and the waterfront background was relaxing. The people running the show were friendly and knew what they were looking at, rather than most Mom and Pop events where they haven't a clue what you did to your Fbody. I met Kevin with his very nice 1969 Orange Camaro. The Artfull Dodger was also there. I did get a Best of 25 plaque and scored 100 points out of 100. The trip down the Turnpike at 6:30 in the morning was also no problem since I had ALL 6 lanes almost to myself. I was tempted to just floor it out, but I thought what if one our finest (Trooper) saw this red dot flying by at 130+:kneeslap:.

Nice meeting you Ed. I agree a nice show and a good turnout!

BonzoHansen 06-07-2015 08:30 PM

Turnpike? No way, we always take rt 295 :)

Glad you enjoyed it.

Ed it was great to talk with you again, and congratulations on the win! I also came away with a "Top 25" award. Good day for the Jersey guys...

Kevin, sorry I don't have a chance to stop by and introduce myself to you.

KevinW 06-08-2015 09:28 AM

Art, yea, Ed had a tough time finding me too :) After cleaning the cars, Steve and I walked around (took a bit of time!), then when we went back to the cars, the sun was baking us, so we retreated a couple rows away under the trees. I have to remember some signs next time (like I'm KevinW talk to me :D )
