Yeah, but now it's less effective than it was to begin with.

I got the hood home today, the last piece I needed to complete the front has been found. She needs to see a good painter along with all the other pieces I have for this project but other than that the hood is in great shape. Also again if anyone knows of some that has the ground effects kit I'm looking for please have them contact me. I knew someone in Brick had the kit but no luck reaching out to him. On a completely different side note, and this is a part taken off from my main project, I have the stock OEM cat. pipes with O2 sensors for sale on ls1tech anyone know of a good price I should ask for them?

SilverDropTop 05-10-2012 03:20 PM

There's a guy on tech in north Jersey that just buys cats. He pays $120 for them.

SilverDropTop 08-01-2012 09:52 PM

Any updates on your build? I'm getting ready to put the engine back in mine and then off to paint.

bigz28man 08-02-2012 06:42 PM

I have been talking to slp about their super charger, as well as Chad from golen engines. I will be doing a 427 ls7 motor from Golen motor works with slp's super charger. My 97' Z has been taking up most of my time, but once it goes to paint the Z is done. Im also doing a full kooks exhaust on this project (lt headers, true daul setup as well). Trying to decide now if i want it to look exactly like the Z or do polished accents (SS badges, and chrome c6 z06 wheels) . Im pretty sure im going with a 373 rear from moser, and full BMR suspension.

LTb1ow 08-03-2012 07:17 AM

SLP makes a supercharger?

I have to ask.

If you've got the means to do a supercharged LS7 build, using Golen and SLP parts, then why on earth did you go for Autometer's cheaper line of gauges (just above autogage) in your other post? The sport comp II's would probably have been a better solution, and you would get a full sweep oil pressure gauge vs. the 90*.

bigz28man 08-03-2012 01:56 PM

I didn't purposely buy the cheapest of auto meters gauges. Im a bit on a time restriction with that car, a could have waited to the end of the month and had gotten the best, but i needed something there before it goes off to paint, i will upgrade in the future. Wasting alittle money now...sure but i feel its saving a future headache.

just wanted to say thankyou to B4C and S.J.sleeper was able to pick up the rear and side ground effects last night from S.J.sleeper. thanks again guys

So Im thinking about picking this car up...to officially get going on this project.

High mileage and a dent in the quarter? I think you can do much better for the price.

bigz28man 08-30-2012 09:31 PM

I finally had some time away from my pd today, so i decieded to clean up the two side rocker panels today. The one had a metal bracket on fused in rust. Tried to socket wrench it off, no luck. So out came the hack saw...that did the trick. Took the power washer to all the chipped paint, which seem to do the trick.

bigz28man 09-01-2012 08:25 AM

have a lot to do before these parts ever see a car again

That wheel well gap is overwhelming, this car needs some lower springs

sweetbmxrider 09-18-2012 09:26 PM

I'm a big fan of black ten spokes

BonzoHansen 09-18-2012 09:32 PM

I think the black wheels look out of place now with the accent stripe gone

awww so much to do with this little machine

Lowering the car next week. BMR got a call from me today

WayFast84 09-19-2012 04:42 PM

The car look's so much better without those stripes.

bigz28man 09-19-2012 04:49 PM

I agree, what a difference it makes with them off. that front plate needs to come off as well, and its getting tinted the following week on the side windows (driver / passenger). I need to remove the rear tint....advise needed on that one. It looks black from the outside but purplish/blue from the inside. can the tinted be removed w/o screwing up the window defoger?

google it, there is a way with certain cleaners and taping a plastic bag over it and leaving it in the sun...
