Out with the old, in with the new.

Took advantage of GM Employee pricing(even though I just left that part of the industry, shhhh) and 0% financing.

I'll miss my 5thgen, but the 6th is just a better built car.

More pics to come.

Looks great! Auto or stick?

Frosty 07-01-2016 02:03 PM

Auto. I can drive stick fine but I have a few physical issues(basically my legs are retarded lol) so if I'm having a bad day pain wise I can't drive the car.

No need to explain. The new autos are really impressive. I still enjoy rowing the gears but it's tough to argue with the new auto trans efficiency.

Mine is still kinda learning, it's a little quirky but I know it'll smooth out after a few hundred miles.

sweetbmxrider 07-01-2016 02:14 PM

Looks pretty good sir

Jersey Mike 07-01-2016 03:56 PM

Congrats Tony! I bet you're amped.
How long did you have the 5th Gen for?

The_Bishop 07-01-2016 04:16 PM

That's a beautiful set of wheels, congrats. I've got my eye on a 6th gen once I get my truck paid off.

Frosty 07-01-2016 04:36 PM

Thanks guys.

Mike, since December of '14. Put a lot of work into it and IMO was a very very good looking 5thgen but I had my eye on this one even before I left my Chevy dealership to take another job...they still had it, 0% financing came along....the rest is history.

IROCZman15 07-02-2016 06:08 AM

very nice. i'd love to drive or be in one as it goes down the road. I was lucky enough last weekend at the Camaro Nationals that Tom Henry let me sit in a white 2016 they had at their display tent. Spent about 10 mins sitting in it and it definitely seemed more refined than the 2 fifth gens I have ever been in. 360 deg viewing still seems difficult from the drivers seat compared to most others cars I've ever driven. While it is on my wish-list of cars I would love to own.... its in the double digits on that list as there are plenty more radical cars I would prefer to own ahead of one. Definitely enjoy man. Bring it out to a monthly meet or something soon.

Jersey Mike 07-02-2016 10:14 AM

Tony, why don't you bring it to Duke later this month?!
I'll bring you some VHT for this sidemarkers

Did you get the adjustable exhaust mode that has four different settings?

maroman88 07-03-2016 09:27 AM

best.color.ever.

It has a picture of the dual dual exhaust tips, with the optional dual mode exhaust and even lists it in the back of the CAMARO catalog under options. One of the pages mentioned "The available dual-mode exhaust system lets you refine the roar of the 6.2 LT1 V8 engine with each of the four drive modes"!:drive:

ar0ck 07-04-2016 11:39 AM

I want to drive one of those so bad! I love the styling!

Sounds more like exhaust through muffler mode and exhaust through cut-out funness mode. Four traction control modes would be the drive modes from full traction control to none. That's my guess!

NJ Torque 07-05-2016 07:40 AM

Looks good!

Frosty 07-05-2016 12:25 PM

Yes, I have the NPP exhaust, already pulled the fuse to keep the valves open. The A8's have a second set that close when the car drops into V4 mode, the exhaust sounds great, just quiet...but then again my 5thgen had longtubes, no cats and the NPP with the valves open.

Close, it has the magnetic ride suspension so it adjusts the shock firmness, steering firmness and even the feel of the gas pedal.

Mike 07-05-2016 01:02 PM

Wow that interior looks nice.

Ahh, got ya. The white interior is cool, nice choice.

Frosty 07-05-2016 01:10 PM

I'm worried about keeping it clean.

NJ Torque 07-05-2016 01:38 PM

I like the white interior. I always wanted to do that on my 98.

get a good leather cleaner... and stay away from dark washed jeans
