That is the topic of an ongoing joke....
I was going ~50. It let go with warning so as soon as I heard chunks hitting the wheel well I pulled over. Most of the carnage is actually the result of limping it a under 5mph down the road in the dirt

ar0ck 10-26-2008 01:12 PM

Dam James, that sucks! How old were those tires on there anyway?

Hope you can get those wheels fixed cause they look great with your car and are so rare.

PolarBear 10-26-2008 01:34 PM

Those tires were basically new. I got them from a friend but he never had them mounted. They were a couple years old with low miles

wow that blows james, is the rim wrecked?

BonzoHansen 10-26-2008 08:31 PM

No the wheel is fine for the most part. I drove really slow down the road in the dirt to my friends parents house. I have a lof of scratches in the clear coat (maybe powdercoat?) and a few nicks in the wheel from rocks and such in the grass. I'm going to put the GTA wheels on it for now and I think I will shop for a pair of tires for the rear and I will keep the front ones.
Looks like I need to roll the quarter lips, get matching koni yellows for the rear of the car and hook the sway bars up. I made a left off the ramp from the highway and I heard a noise from the RR of the car so I am guessing I hit the quarter on the tire and I spun a little there too. All in all not a good combination for the tire
Cars dont like me and RR tires, Solstice got a 3" bolt in the tire a few months back......

Kat 10-27-2008 08:12 PM

ouch!

Hows the car running other wise?

Lt1_8U 10-27-2008 08:43 PM

that really sucks man, especially because those rims are really nice, as alex was saying

No the mold, moss and trees counter the emissions from the engine! It is my way of being eco friendly

Ahh so your making fresh O2 for the engine.. BRILLANT! :D

BTW I never did anything with the WOT tuning. Idle, off idle, some AE and decell. Thats about it really. There is more left in your car. I wish mine ran as good as yours. heh.. One of these days.
