It's an 97 f-250 7.3 powerstroke. Got it for 2600. What do you guys think ?

Sounds like a good deal. The 7.3 PS is a good motor. I'd get rid of the hood scoop and push bar, but that's no big deal. Auto or Manual? How's the front end? Make sure you get some good tires on there for towing. Load range E probably. What are you towing?

looks good especially for $2600. 7.3 good engine the 6.0l pice of **** ! check your upper & lower ball joints, they are a common problem. also should change out fuel filter right away if hasn't been changed. not keeping up on the filter will b costly in the long run cause it will cause injectors to fail. good luck and nice buy!

I already replaced the upper and lowers and put all new filters on the truck.

then your off to a good start ! congrats on the great buy and good luck

pretty sick truck. i like the color. i have some 16 x 10's with some goodyear wrangler's LT315/75's 121P Range D on them. 8 lug rims. pretty much brand new, i think i got maybe 500 miles on them at most.

NastyEllEssWon 08-02-2009 11:15 AM

btownws6 08-02-2009 11:19 AM

baddest434 08-02-2009 12:07 PM

I would take the scoops off but they're screwed to the hood and i don't want 30 holes in the hood.

Totally missed you man. He said you have a 7.3 powerstroke too right? I'm debating on doing a chip/programmer to it right now. I might run a straight pipe on it and a intake to free up some hp. Do you know of any good forums for info ?

blue z 08-02-2009 09:48 PM

yea i have a 96 crew cab with a 5 speed i have a intake down pipe and a programmer. the programmer makes a big difference. u got a sick deal on that truck they last to about 450k mine got 216k and pulls a 6,000 pound trailer with no problem
