Slipstream Racing @ Pocono Friday July 10, 2015

http://www.slipstreamre.com/

Update: April 11th Pocono raceway

Plain and simple an awesome gathering of some great people and extreme cars. Gtrs, supras, vettes, lambos, porsches, camaro BMWs, Audi's. Rosters are filled from 400-1800hp 1600ft roll race.

I know not everyone likes roll racing but still tons of fun.

I was planning to go last year but the weather looked a little too ominous to drive that far.

If the weather is good I will be there as a spectator. Are ou thinking about running or spectating?

Anti_Rice_Guy 03-03-2015 07:23 AM

Interested in spectating.

Jersey Mike 03-03-2015 08:01 AM

May go and spectate. Let's put a group together and cruise up...

NJSPEEDER 03-03-2015 11:58 AM

What Mike said.

Quick glance at google maps looks like meeting someplace that is convenient to I80 is optimal. Pay the escape tax crossing into PA and it is only a few miles off the highway.

MyFirstZ 03-04-2015 07:38 PM

I'll be spectating. The class rosters are filled I believe for every class since January.... I wanted to but they made my decision for me lol

We got there two hours late last time and missed nothing , so if we do this we should plan accordingly.

Not sure what car I'll be in but Rob should be coming again with me.

redsoxsstink 03-05-2015 09:06 AM

ive been meaning to order my tickets, a friend and few coworkers are going

NJSPEEDER 03-05-2015 09:32 AM

Can one of the northerners check around for an easy meeting point? Something along the lines of a super Wawa or similar (gas + convenience store) would be the ideal starting point and close to a major highway.

IROCZman15 03-05-2015 09:56 AM

would love to go to this. sounds awesome. Obviously as a spectator. I'll know if I can get off from work for that day soon .

Probably park and ride at the Blairstown exit. Others can meet up earlier at Rockaway too.

The_Bishop 03-05-2015 03:31 PM

That's happening on my b-day.

NJSPEEDER 03-06-2015 05:38 AM

All the more reason to come with. I'm sure everyone here can easily be talked into a celebration of some sort :)

Jersey Mike 03-06-2015 07:31 AM

How do you guys feel about meeting up at the Rockaway Mall and caravan'ing over to the event as a group? Those of you familiar with the area know it is right next to Route 80, with ample parking.

It would be a straight shot West on Route 80 for about 60 miles/1 hour or so:

Rockaway Mall = where the BWW meet was?

If so that sounds easy to me.

CGMSS 03-06-2015 12:09 PM

I'm gonna watch this thread. Rockaway straight shot up 287 for me. May have to cruise out with you guys if the stars align. Is there a "spectator ticket" needed or is that done at the gate?

What a good idea

NJSPEEDER 03-06-2015 01:29 PM

Is Rockaway Mall a good place to leave cars for the day? Just thinking in terms of tolls and fuel, if people wanna meet up and carpool to save a few bucks.

Jersey Mike 03-06-2015 04:21 PM

Did you guys hear something? No? Okay, just checking.

Tim- Yes, same mall that Buffalo Wild Wings is a part of. I wouldn't hesitate leaving my car there.

CGMSS- good question about the spectator details. Hopefully it's nothing absurd..?

Keith- what a great birthday present to yourself! And BWW or NJHOPZ afterwards? Why, I'd love to!

MyFirstZ 03-07-2015 08:22 PM

Yes you need to purchase tickets prior. I will see if I can get the link

MyFirstZ 03-07-2015 08:30 PM

Sorry to rain on the parade since I never mentioned. Not a free entry event.

It is 40$ before march 15th. 50$ after that. Out in your email under registration in the link below to get more info

Jersey Mike 03-08-2015 07:21 AM

Eh, it's for a good cause. I'd do $40-$50 to witness this, and have it double as a charitable donation.

NJSPEEDER 03-08-2015 10:46 AM

Perfectly said Mike.

I'm going

CGMSS 03-09-2015 07:37 AM

40- 50 works. I'll keep an eye peeled to see when you guys are meeting up.

Ordered.

NJSPEEDER 03-09-2015 11:44 AM

I ordered my ticket. :burnout:

Jersey Mike 03-15-2015 08:09 PM

I just ordered my ticket as well.

Supposedly, the price goes up by $10 as of tomorrow... FYI for those of you lurking

I drove out to the Poconos this weekend and the cruise down Route 80-West is really great, and actually went by very quickly! This should be a great event!
