95 Impala SS

3 Attachment(s)
Finally got one of my childhood dream cars. bit of a project 95 Impala SS. 112k miles clean title 3 owner car. Appears to have had a massive stereo in it at some point. Mechanically its bone stock and in dire need of service and maintenance. body has all the trim and moldings deleted and smoothie bumpers. Needs bondo repairs and paint, interior is pretty gross and beat up also. runs and drives decent, super quiet stock exhaust.

Nice! This was my childhood dream car as well and will own one some day too!

What's your plans for it?

ohhhhh makes me want another one.

When you get to wanting it to ride better, grab the poly body bushings. Impalas dont have the front 3 bottom bushings on each side. gm did this to make it ride a little nicer. the 9c1 caprices got the hd body bushings but impalas didnt.

also, do the proportioning valve upgrade. gm shipped these cars with a prop valve for rear drum brakes even though they are 4 wheel disc. Night and day difference, especially driving in north jersey in the suck of 208/rt 4 lol. its like 60 bux, i have the part number somewhere.

Doing tons of maintenance, appears to have sat for quite some time, then onto body and interior repairs. i just love the timeless looks of these big things.

noted, has upgraded pads and rotors but stops like garbage, sometimes gotta hit the pedal twice lol

Had no heat, flushed the heater core and got some gelled up old dexcool out, flushed the whole system out, new water pump and we have heat again. did intake manifold gaskets as well bc oil everywhere. some more maintenance parts ordered.

Need to find a throttle cable, i broke the brittle little plastic piece that slides into the bracket

I think I have a new power steering pressure line sitting around somewhere if you need it. I had bought it for the 68 Camaro I had with the LT1 in it that kept foaming the ps fluid but never got around to trying it out. I think it was a GM part if I can find it.
