Picked up the front lower air dam, yesterday from wingswest. the part should be here this time next week.

SilverDropTop 12-26-2012 10:52 PM

Looks great. Have you decided what your going to do for an intake? I ended up making one with some 3" aluminum piping. I'll post some pics if you need ideas.

bigz28man 12-28-2012 02:37 PM

Would love to see some photos. The problem I'm looking at is what do to with the sensors near intake lid.???.

Alright guys I decided to go with the toyo proxes 305/35/18 in the rear of this car. the overall height im being told is 26.3" which is only .2" more than the BFGoodrich f-force T/A kdw 2 im running on the Z (295/35/18). So what am I looking at for fitment issues. I dont think i need to roll any fenders here but I know the bump stops have to go, any inner fender (BMFH mod) convincing I need to do? The car is now lowered an 1"- 1.5" (BMR springs)

sweetbmxrider 01-19-2013 11:03 PM

Eh, you'll probably catch in a couple spots. Really just have to drive it and see I guess because your rear may not be perfectly aligned in the wheel well or the whole axle could be to one side a little more. I would just hit the usually spots and take the bumpstops and some of that inner structure back a bit and make it smooth so you don't rip the tire apart if it ever hit. Towards the front of the car at the bottom of the opening it usually catches a small lip. I just hammer it back.

coolmanvette75 01-20-2013 03:25 PM

If you have adjustable lca's and panhard bar it will really help how much you have to clearance for the wider tire...

bigz28man 01-20-2013 05:59 PM

thanks guys...well the car is lowered BMR springs Bilstein rear and front shocks, BMR adj pan hard bar, new upper front shock mounts.

the springs have some settling to do, should have a nice stance after settling down.

bigz28man 02-17-2013 11:19 PM

figured I'd post this, an Email with me speaking to chad about the engine build for this car

"Ok so we can set it up to work with a Centrifugal ATI Procharger. Here is the spec sheet for a 427ci LS7 Boost ready engine that will be a direct bolt in for your car, we can build this engine and test it on our dyno for $16,499. You would need to add the ATI Procharger in addition to this price and that should run you around $5,000 for the complete kit give or take.

Look over the attached spec sheet and let me know your thoughts and questions. We can work through the specs to get you the exact package that you are looking for so it could take a few emails to iron things out.

Thanks,

Chad Golen"

Question for you guys, Solid roller or Hyd roller? I'd like to have this car be 3/4 strip , 1/4 street. Also at the other end of this car, what gear should I run?

LTb1ow 02-18-2013 12:00 PM

To be blunt, go dyno your Golen LT1 before you spend another dime there.

I would have a reputable LSX builder do the motor, and have them dictate if you want/need a SR setup.

Gearing at this point is a moot point without knowing cam/engine/blower specs.

Im open to suggestions, who comes to mind?

bigz28man 03-05-2013 09:50 PM

so with someones help on ls1tech, I had this image photoshopped to see what the car would after it had its body kit put on. couple more things to do to the photo, but it gives a pretty good on what the car will look when its done. I still need to fix the the rear fascia, and get the sail panel and roof done, as well as the wheels that will be on it, but all in all it looks pretty good.

bigz28man 06-01-2013 05:59 PM

Hey guys two quick questions, im going to be doing some painting. Anyone know the gm paint code for a 2002 sebring silver? And how much base do i need to spray the roof, sail panel and two front fenders?

bigz28man 08-03-2013 06:10 PM

We'll i finally started the work on the SS. I dropped the car off yesterday at ttp. The boys there will be fabricating a temporary cia for this car. Once that is complete i will be swapping the front clip. Anyone interested in a ls front clip (nose, fenders, ss hood, lights) shot me a pm. They will be up for sale in two weeks. Im still in need of one more spare/donut for this car so it can pushed around while its out of commission for about 2 years. Last thing the rear will be getting done in September moser or strange 12 bolt?

LTb1ow 08-04-2013 10:52 PM

I think I have a spare laying round, did ya see my heep at TTP?
