Leaning towards Martinique Blue, gold turbo wheels, gold/blue bird, and keep the turbo hood. I really like the color and it would keep it within the general period of the car.
This is the color. http://www.78ta.com/fpics/82320150.jpg |

that's the blue I was thinking when I mentioned an earlier blue. But not with gold. That color scheme in your pic there is sweet.
Don't love this. http://www.pontiacsonline.com/CT%201.JPG This looks like your color: http://www.transamflorida.com/TRANSA572.jpg http://www.transamflorida.com/1981bl17.jpg |
I don't love the first pic with all that body line gold pin striping. I would leave that off and focus on it being the wheels and the hood. Brushed silver/silver can still work too but I will have to think on it.

I like the first one

My bias & I will abstain from commenting

You the fellow Joe P referenced?

Love the Martinique blue and silver wheels. Friend just had one briefly and it was gorgeous. Not sure I like it with gold wheels as much.

Realy personal preference. Black & Blues seems to be good choices. Marty blue & silver is a nice combo when done properly. Blk/ blk. Blk/tan along with marty or nocturne blue and tan work well.
Gold n blacl works too. Its your car, what do you like? |

Just a quick update. My Dad has been hard at work playing with the car. Before we jump into spending major coin on the suspension, tires, etc our plan is to get the cars cosmetics more up to snuff.
My Dad did some repair work in the trunk which came out great. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps61dd0rlw.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...psktwfkel2.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...psrgbfmrgy.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...psov7drobh.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...psbhx248jm.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...pstwzuhn5f.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...psydvufvqv.jpg He moved on to the tail lights and is currently getting those reconditioned. It was fun pulling them apart as the sealant was pretty dry rotted. They came right apart LOL. One side is almost done so more pics to come. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps0xxkb2jw.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...psdta96dxn.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...psyghsxaxw.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...psxty93ijb.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...pscvwbg1gd.jpg He was real curious what may be hiding under this thick coating so he started sanding the rear quarter. Obviously some work was done but thankfully the body continues to look solid underneath. He hit it with some color real quick just to see what would happen. We know it doesn't look good but it was more of a test. The color from the can is showing darker than intended but again, this will get painted properly so we aren't concerned at the moment. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...psar1kewzm.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...pstk1toskm.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...pscwrquiuu.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...psljmhuel0.jpg http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps9ptsuv1t.jpg |
