|
Looks like I'll be racing a lot more at Island this year. :)
I think that is just a Sunday price, but that is OUTRAGEOUS. |
you can go to track rental days at atco for $150 and get great track prep & run for eternity why would i want to go and pay $100 for 6 runs at etown? WTF are they thinking?
|
island for $20 it is!
|
if thats what they want, i want to take my signiture off their petition to stay open...
if its for real, it wont last long |
They did this last year.... it is a Sunday thing
Saturday should have reg prices Island sucks monkey ballz! |
i have never been to a track with so much to offer that treats their racers as bad as etown. the management cleary don't care abotu racing at all.
they keep raising prices but when was the last tiem they raised their payouts? prolly been 10years. don't even get me started on trying to work with those clowns. later tim |

Just this one needed comment....
By raising the price of running on a sunday or actually no matter what day it is, you increase the #'s of street racers. Â*So E-town is basically opening themselves up to be blamed for future street racing relatedÂ*fatalities. p.s not everyone knows about the other tracks like Atco & Island. Â*Englishtown is probably the most well known tracks in the United States! |
i think street racing is going to happen one way or the other but i just dont get how they NEED to raise prices that amount??? They already charge you $4 for a crappy hamburger and $3 for a soda that costs them $.10 to make not to mention the $12-15 for spectators...they are making more then enough money to keep things running IMHO. Go to atco or etown any day of the week or weekends during the summer and you'll be lucky to get 3-4 runs out of your 10-30 they charge to race...so theres room to open up more tracks IMO but its just outta hand.
|
if your ready to race at atco at around 5pm on a weekday, you can easily get 6 runs in about a half hour's time. So its not like your getting your money's worth due to there being less people there racing willing to pay the price. Those prices are infrigginsane. Good thing its only for sundays.
|
e-town has had $100 sunday T&t's for at least a few years now, i remember it way back when i'd run my STS in '99.

I like etown a lot but no way is it worth that much $$$. At least not for me it isn't.
One thing that's sad is that there are people that will pay that much so the demand is there. Don't hate the player, hate the game. Is it just me going crazy or don't they have an 1/8 mile track on the left lane side? I remember seeing a porsche launch so I'm pretty sure it's there, if it is, do they use it often? I like the 1/4 mile but I'd settle for some 1/8 mile runs that put less abuse on the car and help me work on launching. What would REALLY be cool is a place that has 2 strips to keep things flowing. Use the 2nd strip as a "slow car" strip where you only have to prep up to the 220' mark because the cars don't have the power to spin beyond that. THAT would be great, you could get in some racing then have time to do some spectating. If there were a track that could use a 2nd strip it would be etown! |
maybe it's a typo.....
