BCM Fix
Well a while ago i posted about my BCM intermittently going bad, shutting down my power windows and turning off my radio.
Well i took off the glove box so i can have access to it and mess with it. Well everytime it went down if i took the connectors and shook it, power returned again. Today i decided to take it out and look at the pins on both sides. While taking out i realized it is alot easier to open up then i thought, and i found this. . . . http://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f3...P4040104-1.jpg A broken solder on a relay http://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f3...P4040096-1.jpg I cleaned off the corrosion that built up on the broken solder and resoldered it and so far so good. Any questions just ask. |
awesome, good work. hopefully thats all it was and you saved yourself a few bucks.
i wonder if anyone else with a similar issue would try to open theirs and check that same location. |
there is a big post over at ls1tech on that exact issue
