coolmanvette75- 1994 Z28

Bought this car on September 14, 2010 from Vinnie's(NJ346) friend for $3,000. Its my first car (bought it when I was 16). The car was pretty stock with a few minor bolt ons. This is how it looked the day I picked it up:

Didnt really do much to it as the season was getting close to an end. Just fixed a few things like the trans mount, feul pump filter, etc. Here it is at the 2010 Nats:

Right before the first snow of the year, I installed my 17x9.5 ZR1 wheels that I bought myself for Christmas:

Then the snow came :(

Then this spring the snow finally melted and I was able to snap some nice pics. These are the last pics I have of the car lowered (miss that look):

Once April came around and work picked back up, the mod bug started flowing. First step was get rid of the stock exhaust in favor or Pacesetter Longtubes and a custom 3inch x-pipe set-up with dumped dynomax bullets. While I was there I installed a UMI t/a and Eibach Drag Launch springs for clearence.

Out with the old:

Test fitting and making some final adjustments:

Finished product:

After that I got the bug to race the car. The car went a best of 13.59 @ 102.65 in with an ailing clutch in 90 degree heat and a high da.

All of that led to an unhappy T56. Shortly after, 2nd gear was completely gone. In August I took the time to get the trans rebuild with performance parts that are rated up to around 600hp. Also threw in a new clutch (CCI Stage 4) and flywheel while I was there.

Right after the car got done I hit the dyno, where I put down a respectable 293/338 to the wheels on a dynojet. Nothing beats free dyno pulls

After that didnt really do much with it. Just drove it to school and the local cruise nights. During this time I did the following:
Alt relo
!A/C
EWP
LCA relo brackets
CE adj rear drag shocks

Then after many delays (thanks mother nature) we finally had our JSFBOA track rental. After much practice through out the day, I finally clicked off the number I wanted to see. 12.94 @ 106. Back that run up with a 12.98 @ 106 and on the last run, a 12.93 @106 (no slip on that run :()

Please excuse the baller rear drag wheels

12.98 vs Beggs

12.93

Now the car is sitting for the winter with this waiting to go in once it gets warm enough to wrok on the car:
