Who hits the gym ??

Just trying to see who all hits the gym and is really working out ??

I'm gonna jump back in starting today (headed there in an hour or less)....

Plus I'm gonna look into the P90X thing....

My goal - stand-in for the next '300' movie

Add some size, and a WHOLE LOTTA definition....

Like to hear what everyone is doing.... :?:

Mike 04-03-2008 11:55 AM

i do, not really any major goals though......not a body builder or anything like that.

i try to go 5 days a week and keep a tentative schedule...

mon...chest
tues...arms
weds...shoulders
thurs...back and abs
fri...legs

also play raquetball 2-3 times a week to get cardio without being bored

right now im taking a cycle of a fat burner from nutrex research, once i hit a certain weight ill start on some mass and strength suppliments

Squirrel 04-03-2008 11:57 AM

68camaroguy 04-03-2008 12:59 PM

Fast92RS 04-03-2008 01:27 PM

I dont go to the gym. I have work out equipment at home. Just a basic bench and a treadmill. I try to get in a run atleast three times a week for a half hour and a basic weight training work out atleast twice a week.

Billfromnj 04-03-2008 02:08 PM

i go 5 days a week, similar schedule as cbrrmike, just dont do the same muscles on same days as him...im trying to lose weight and tone up...a friend of mine who a physical therapist(she knows all about muscles) said find a good weight ur comfortable with and just do 3 sets 15-20 reps...so far its doing good, now i just gotta eat the right things lol

LS1Hawk 04-03-2008 02:20 PM

I have a multi-gym/smith machine in my basement. I usually workout about 3 - 4 times per week. I find it a lot easier to just have the equipment and work out on my own time.

ap2000z28 04-03-2008 02:24 PM

I usually hit the gym 4-5 times a week. This past month I have been doing mostly cardio trying to get ready for the Cape May Police Academy. So far I have lost about 8lbs and am not happy!

97slpss 04-03-2008 02:27 PM

i go 5 times a week ....huge part of my life. Looking to do a local bodybuilding show towards the end of the summer.

Is P90x the workout they advertise on tv? If so I'd really just focus on diet, and not pay for a workout plan, most people trying to get cut for summer take all of these supps and try crazy workouts when really if your diet is off...you will see minimal results

bubba428 04-03-2008 02:28 PM

I used to...I didn't have the gut as much back in HS. I need to get back into it

My gym is 24 hrs, and about a mile from my apartment, so working out on my own time is really easy. Its great when you have a workout partner to get your ass there when you don't feel like it. Steve and I were both going about 5 times a week, then he got sick about a month ago, slowly I stopped going. Gotta get back there.. maybe tonight :D

Mike Something 04-03-2008 03:46 PM

I go to one on Rt 18 at least 5times a week. I do a light total body on Sat sometimes. Def something awesome I got into rather than just sitting around on car forums all day =)
I did a 405 deadlift, 135 straightbar curl, 510 leg press etc which was a great accomplishment for me. Made alot of good friends at the gym as well.

+1 i just don't have the drive alone

HardcoreZ28 04-03-2008 03:53 PM

I'm there 5 days a week....used to go 6 but I don't have the time anymore unfortunately. I'm at the point where I realize I won't put much more musclemass on (currently @190lbs) so I workout to maintain and focus a bit more on definition in the spring/summer. Very similar workout as Mike and others above....1 body part a day essentially. 5 exercises for 4 sets apiece. Usually 10 reps....6-8 during the winter. I've been working out religiously for about 13 years now.

well, when i was into it, i walk like 30 paces from the house, into my garage and do the weightlifting thing.

id go out there 4x a week (every other day)
4 sets of 6, heavier weight
pullup bar is out there

Gold standard whey protein to meet my protein needs
multivitamins in the AM -- Animal Pak

pre workout
superpump 250
animal stak (cycle for 3 weeks on, 1 week off)

post-
Anator P70

when i first started lifting i was 167lbs average. after 7 weeks i was up to 185lbs average (that was just with the protein and anator p70)

one inch on my arms, 2.5 on my chest, and still cut

rscamaro73 04-03-2008 05:11 PM

So you're saying you got good gains from the Anator ? I was going to go back to the NOXplode and Cellmass products I was using when I got some huge strength gains....that and powdered creatine monohydrate.

I was doing sets of 8 and as heavy as I could go....but I'm back up to 10's for now.....I'd like to get cut as well, so I'm going to start picking apart my food intake.....make sure I'm 'golden'.....and stick to more cardio.....aka running....

Ran 3 miles today in 26:30....not bad for someone that HATES running....

Its Anytime Fitness of Budd Lake. The owner is cool and the place is nice. Now that I'm better, I'll be beck there this weekend.

i was getting 180g or more of protein every day and working out every other day. dont buy it at GNC though. dont buy anything there if you can help it. Dynamic fitness is like $25+ cheaper on anything thats eexpensive. gnc rips people off. yes, even with the membership too lol
