scca northeast divisionals 11/12/13th

notheast divisional championship is this weekend at giant stadium. The camaro is fueled up and ready to go. A big thanks to 1qwickbird for comming over and bleeding some brakes, went for a short ride today to bed in some new front pads. new race tires are mounted up. Should be a good time I think there are about 170 cars showing up.

won my class by over 4.4 sec, but due to the death of a motocyclist the event was shut down, and we didnt get to run our second 4 laps today. The nnjr scca region had nothing to do with the accident.

Congrats on the win. What happened with the motorcycle? Was it on the street near the stadium?

2 employees of gotham dream cars were "racing" to get gas, lost control, and one of them hit the motorcylist and killed him. horrible.

Metlife stadium managment called the nnjr event chairman shortly after the accident and told us to stop all racing activity, were really hoping this dosent screw the nnjr scca from using the lots for future events as the metlife lots are the best autocross lots on the east coast.

that sucks. i hope cooler heads prevail

That would be BS. Were the Ferrari's supposed to be running at the event or was this just a coincidence?

198esp1 05-15-2012 09:20 AM

the ferrari's were in a completely different lot and were in no way part of the scca event.
