I'm not sure of the specific product line but these are two I had.
Both were really too low for most people, and most roads. lol.

Hotchkis... (these springs will be going back on my upcoming 4th gen build)

Eibach drag springs (Z28) vs Stock springs (SS)
Recently did the heater hose mod on the rears and dropped it a little bit more.

BMR/Koni front, Strano/Koni rear on VT Isolators. It's not the lowest, but it's a good balance for where I want to be.

LS1ow 03-04-2016 10:26 AM

i had hotchkis on my T/A(actually its pictured above) and Eibach on my Camaro. I liked the way the T/A sat much better

BMR/Strano & Koni combo or BMR/Strano & Bilstein combo for the more budget minded

deadtrend1 03-04-2016 04:04 PM

Straino/Bilsteins

Rear spring spacer is still in. Get new upper strut mounts when you do it also.

What you have to decide is, do I want the LOOK and have to avoid EVERY dip or speed bump in the road? I made the choice when I looked under my car and saw that the cats were 3 1/2" distance from them to the floor. Reduce that by 1" IF you put on Eibach Springs or whatever and now have 2 1/2" of clearance. Every speed bump will challenge you to drive over at 5 mph or at an angle:rofl:. I went with my other option, which was to install sub frame connectors. This made a HUGE difference in the way the car drove over rough roads and took the jar out of hitting them. Your choice, scrap the undercarriage:shock:, but it looks cool, or IMPROVE how the car reacts to the road surface.

deadtrend1 03-04-2016 07:46 PM

Yes, you have to slow down so you dont slam on the speedbumps, but go slow and its not that big of a deal.

Lower it ...

Or if you're exhaust is installed properly... you'll be fine with lowering it an inch or 2.

Strange coil overs, and stock springs in back, heater hose modded.

QA1 Coil Overs Up front with Hypercoil Rear springs, factory rear spring seat:

I put everything back in the Trans Am and tried the Heater Hose mod and didn't like the way it sat, I ended up getting new rear spring perches that helped over the rotted originals.

ThoR294 03-08-2016 05:51 PM

I'm lowered with no issues. Just don't drive like a dummy

madness410 05-09-2016 06:58 PM

ended up ordering koni str.t shocks and Strano springs can't wait to get them.

ThoR294 05-10-2016 08:40 AM

Good choice. You'll love it

madness410 07-30-2016 09:40 PM

just a quick update. i appreciate everyones help and as stated earlier i decided to go with the strano springs and koni str.t orange shocks. the install wasnt as bad as i thought. i thought i'd share some pics. the rear end looks very low because i have a dual 10" sub box in the hatch which i just removed after these pictures were taken.

these are pics before:

it is amazing the difference in appearance and also handling new shocks / springs makes.

ThoR294 08-01-2016 08:24 PM

When I did my strano/koni yellows it was a new car after that. and it killed the 4x4 stance. Looks solid man good choice! Strano is a cool guy

MyFirstZ 08-02-2016 06:47 AM

Looks great man.

unbelievably better. the setup i was riding on im assuming was factory original so 17 years old. the new set up, although the shocks (performance entry level) and strano springs..make a huge improvement. i can still feel the bumps and the road but its much more tolerable and enjoyable. it really did make an amazing difference.
