Power Steering Line
Do these require fancy fittings/hose or will regular SS braided stuff do the trick? Its the pressure side, which is why I am curious.
And if it does require fancy crimps, know any local places that can fab me up a line? Thanks |
Must be rated for PS. I run it and have made it by hand. It requires ferrels on the inner hose.
|
Any hydraulic hose will work if the fittings thread correct right?
|
That I do not know. Summit sells a universal braided ps kit for a little over 100 I think.
|
iirc 2000psi spikes. is this for looks or need due to your changes?

The high pressure line has o-rings seals @ both ends. M*d*l*r Turbo sells a kit, or you can just sleeve it with one of those lava rock made sleeves by DEI (i think that who sells it).

DEI makes all sorts of nice heat shield stuff. Check out aeroquip at least for info. I'll poke around for some info on other stuff I saw.
obligatory $0.02 warning. don't cheap out. I've seen PS hose breaks burn cars down. |

Its close, like touching pipe, not gonna deal with heat shield BS. |
i was thinking new line & heat protection.
|
I would want to just run a long one and keep it well out of way. IDK.
