Only bass coming from rear speaker?

as some guys know i had my car gone for a while getting a new head gasket, when i got the car back about 2 1/2 weeks later, my alpine speakers in the back seats did not play vocals, only bass. i checked all fuses, and wires everything seems to be fine. tried the speaker in a friends car and it played. the audio guy in newton told me it was blown tweeters, but obviously not if it played in another car. any ideas?

same thing happend in my car. i spend forever going threw the wiring mess from the other owner and still didnt get it to work. i eventually ripped all the aftermarket stuff out and just went with stock speakers and a aftermarket Headunit just to have ipod connectivity and wired it all.

thats all i really have, stock speakers everywhere except the rear seats and and aftermarket headunit, did yours play only bass with those speakers or with any speaker you tried?

wait im confused lol, do they still?

LS1ow 02-11-2012 04:42 PM

no lol i took all the after market stereo that was in the car out and replaced it with stock stuff and just wired it all in.

befor i went with the entire redo of the sound system i did try to find out why it only played bass, and i could not come up with why.

ohh haha. and yeah im stumped, maybe i could run new speaker wire directly to the back of the Head unit?

LS1ow 02-11-2012 04:51 PM

i was going to do that, but i decided to do every speaker just to make shure it was done right.

give it a shot and let us know the results

If you have to get prices on getting a couple of speakers installed...you might NOT be a car guy lol also i dont believe that about par troy mark is pretty helpful over there especially if he did your install

No issues with Par Troy here either nor have I heard anything bad about them. They usually help me out with advice even if I don't end up buying anything from them.
