Fuel Pump
Need Pricing on a good Performance Fuel pump that will handle a Turbo set up, but still function in the stock location and wiring? For a 2001 LS1 6 speed. Sponsors whats a good one to use?

Walbro 255 is good to around 600 hp I think. Drop in replacement...
|
the question is how much flywheel HP will you have approx when you are done?
|
i've got a lq9 running 11psi 60lb injectors runnin a stock intank pump w/inline accel pump & boost referenced regulator in my 99z28 no problems here
|
At the rear wheels I stand to make 510 to 530 Rwhp on 8 PSI and 42lb injectors. I am looking for just a drop in Fuel pump.
|
walbro 255 or if you don't mind spending a little extra $ the racetronics drop in setup is sweet cause it will give you more psi/volume due to its upgraded pump & harness over gm's lowsy 16 gauge wiring.

The hot wire kit connects off the alternator.

when i pushed 560 rwhp the aeromotive 700hp efi pump wasnt keeping up. I had to go to the A1000 unit/street controller.
If you are keeping as bolt in as possible i would go the racetronix setup, but personally you most likely will want more later so i would recommend sumping the tank and going a larger setup with braided stainless AN line and fittings. |
My ride wont be hitting the track to much. Its mainly once in a while cruiser and a show car. So I keep reading about the racetronics one and it seems to be getting great reviews.
|
go with the racetronics pump, if your a rippin the car around town for fun and once in awhile going to the track, great setup for you.
sumping tank and bigger pump an lines, just gonna get way up there in $.. |

"Supposedly" it is a genuine walbro.. I had a guy saying he made 500 on spray and on a dyno never had fuel issues...
But your right, I would spend the extra bills for the peace of mind. |
I run the Racetronix LT1 setup and their injectors and my 383 make slightly over 500 RWHP and I had no fuel issues.
