88 Camaro Sport Coupe
I picked up a Maui Blue sport coupe that I plan to fix up.
i plan on some interior work, new seats, fixing the door arm rests and cleaning the crap out of the rest of it outside it could use some new paint on this wonderful rust free body. so far ive purchased new seats, awaiting delivery. repaired one of the door arm rests and reinstalled. ive began removing the factory striping along the bottom, all came off except most of the glue! ill be taking more pictures as i go along but heres a few of my starting point... http://inlinethumb04.webshots.com/44...600x600Q85.jpg http://inlinethumb32.webshots.com/47...600x600Q85.jpg http://inlinethumb45.webshots.com/49...600x600Q85.jpg ive already powerwashed the engine bay and all that grease sure did a nice job of protecting the painted areas! pics to come of that later http://inlinethumb14.webshots.com/46...600x600Q85.jpg |
Now you got two third gens! Awesome!
And tell me about grease protection, I dropped the motor outta mine and powerwashed the engine bay and there was bare metal on top of the k member! |
Looks like a fun project. Definitely keep us updated. Took mine to Etown last weekend and instantly remembered how much I love driving my thirdgen!

Armrest looks so much better....what'd you use to restick it? Believe it or not I used JB Weld on my old ones a long time ago and then held up for a number of years.

gorilla glue, wood and some clamps over night

anyone know what the paint code for the silver gfx is? i went thru my rpo's and it doesnt say, and all i have for the colors on the tag is 9184 maui blue
|
Should be two different #'s on the bottom of the RPO code WAxxxxx
Take a pic of it and post it here and I'll tell ya. |
i already looked it up... its got L9184 and U9184, its not technicly a 2 tone like the chevy trucks were listed
the only silver i can find for an 88 camaro is 9021 or 13s i also ran all the RPO's and it has WW2 which is 'apperance package (silver), aero #2' |
this may be your best shot...
