1987 Buick Turbo T

Just bought a Buick regal with the T type package off a buddy of mine. Has 87k original miles and is in really nice shape. Almost all stock except of a catback and chip. I just bought and added a nice CAI set up. For those of you that never heard of a T Type its basically a Grand National that came in color. They came with many different options. This one has aluminum bumper braces and block heater.

Looks great! I'm jealous it looks sharp and still maintains that "sleeper" image!

87 was a turbo-t. Not t-type. Also had aluminum wheels rather then steel making it technically lighter and faster than GN. Awesome ride dude. This guys super jealous.

College roommate had an 86 and 87 g/n...they are so understated on how fast they are/can be. Minimal mods and d/r and it ran 12's all day...then a/c on the way home....nice purchase.

231ci ftw

needs black

grazi 06-03-2013 04:53 PM

Gonna do some water meth injection?

69BirdX 06-03-2013 05:26 PM

Thanks guys decided to do something different then another fbody. Ill agree that it needs black grill and the headlights. But I love the sleeper look. Eventually it will get an alchy kit and a nice front mount intercooler.

Has blue cloth buckets. Floor shifter. No astro roof

ugh wanted one so bad as a first car, they were just ridiculous with prices, they have come down some years later. Its great you have the bumper fillers intact, i get so used to seeing them missing.

69BirdX 06-04-2013 12:21 AM

usually they are. The passenger rear is cracked a little. The only bad is the vinyl top is ripped in the back and it could use a new carpet. Funny the factory tach and boost gauge work. Thats really hard to come by. Within the next few weeks she will be getting a new fuel pump and 42lbs injectors. My buddy has a 3in downpipe he had off an old set up. Ill also order a updated chip. Hopefully get to some meets

Pretty sweet whip

'Astro roof'...a phrase I haven't heard since h/s...my friend had one w/those roofs...awesome.

If you get a chip... do a LS1 MAF and a TT chip...

grazi 06-04-2013 08:48 PM

Is it rude to ask what you paid for that beast?

smoke_em94 06-04-2013 09:31 PM

Do a stock replacement bigger intercooler my buddy's have better luck with them then the front mounts

1320B4U 06-05-2013 08:49 AM

I think some cats run the intercoolers off the isuzu fuso box trucks..big and will fit w/some finesse.

Older powerstrokes... But quality FMIC's are cheap enough... or even a dutt neck IC is better then stock...

emolineaux 07-04-2013 09:08 AM

love the car!

Raist103 07-11-2013 11:08 AM

i have a low 10sec gn i am putting back closer to stock. if you need some parts or wheel tire combos let me know

btw go with 50 or 60lb injectors and a tt chip and ls1 maf for sure. alky from http://www.alkycontrol.com/ should be the next purchase.
