Has anyone run headers with just bullet style mufflers?

This is for the jet boat I bought but I wanted to ask if anyone has run headers with a bullet style muffler or muffler insert at the end of the headers. I don't want it too loud to annoy all the people I know along the river, but the water cooled exhaust I was going to run is back ordered so I was thinking about over the top headers and some type of short bullet muffler to keep the noise down. I'm not worried about the power output, more about the db reduction.

The bigger the muffler, the better. Those bullets really just cut down on rasp, its going to be loud

Header y pipe to bullet n turn down. Still very loud, and I'm sure louder on water.

Yeah.

Headers into 3.5" Dynomax bullets. Still loud. Like Adam said, the mufflers really just cut down on rasp.

I ordered the Schoenfeld jet boat headers and I'll try their muffler inserts to start with. There are some other inserts available to try to keep the noise down if these don't do enough.
