Wouldn't have went with the LSA, but not too shabby.

What would you have gone with?

Honestly? LS7. You take a drop in power, but I've seen some large power gains with a solid cam. Apparently the LS7's cam is small for its displacement.

The LSA does not have forged internals like the LS7 or LS9 do, nor does it have dry-sump oiling, but that's another issue. The internal parts is what I would be worried about after upping the boost. Sure, he isn't going to be drag racing it every weekend, or even putting it through anything more than a few high speed passes up and down the PCH, but I personally would have went LS7.
