I want to change the Kingpin tapers? (cones maybe ?)on my front Dana 60 and they need to be torqued to 600 |
Get Wild Billy T to torque it with his arms. They gotta be at least 800 lbs.
|
Just use an impact gun. 800+ ft lbs of tightening force

Thanks. I don't need the wrench right now, I will still have to get the cones. I am just trying to see if someone had one, if I couldn't borrow I would have to take it to a shop. |
Just do a 100ftlbs six times.

I have read about someone that made their own "torque wrench", I think they put a drive on the end of a 5 foot bar, and a receiving hole in the end to put their regular torque wrench and they torqued it to 100lbs on their real wrench, so the overall force was 600lbs, because science |
I would try to find a torque multiplier for your application at work we torque the bus wheels to 500 ft lbs the wrench is 1in drive by like 5 or 6 ft very awkward to use
