Car Cover Recommendations

I picked up a vehicle this past weekend and since neither the HC or bird will be kicked out of the garage, I am looking into vehicle specific car covers. Budget is around $200-$300. California Car Cover and Covercraft seem like good options but looking for some suggestions. The car will be somewhat under trees but will be exposed to some direct sunlight.

The Noah material covers seem to be within my price point but open to other suggestions.

Can you set up a carport as well?

BonzoHansen 10-18-2016 02:35 PM

I have a weathershield HP I like for outdoor use

ive had 2 NOAH's on my old truck. they both lasted about 2 years out in the elements before they ripped. the second one was replaced under warranty by California car cover they were very strait forward with it once i sent them pics.

I've had my California Car Cover for almost 10 years now. Very happy with it.

I could but not a fan of the look.

I was told covers do more damage than good so my bird sits nekkid

They make an exterior grade car capsule. And you could even use it on the other cars if need be. Not cheap but worth it imo. I have a indoor one and so does jersey mike. I have no complaints and will soon be using mine to store my notchback for the winter in my old damp work garage.

Cali stormweave for outdoor
NOAH for indoor and occasional outdoor.

Happy with both
Stormweave cover will fade though.

Cover is not ideal as if the car isn't clean when used, the paint will be scratched. However, I'd rather deal with that versus having it get covered in tree garbage, snow, etc. Basically I am debating the lesser of two evils.

More than I wish to spend at this time but interesting idea. It would look awful funny in the driveway though.

I'm leaning towards the Stormweave. Fading is not a concern as long as the car is protected. Seems the Noahs can work fine but may not hold up after a couple years.

Good idea but that will snowball terribly.

I can offer you a nice breezeway in a safe neighborhood for it to live.

I got mine at www.carcovers.com after doing a bit of research a few years ago. Since it will never/hardly ever be outside I was less concerned with Sun and UV and Ice protection but more concerned with the fleece inner material and fitment. Fits the vehicle well. free shipping. has served its purpose very well over the years; but again.. simply only used on the car in the garage when i am doing other non-car related projects and work in the garage.

Like into partial second floor of garage addition so there is a manly man man loft overlooking all the horsepower?

KirkEvil 10-19-2016 10:51 AM

Quit fooling around and get an enclosed trailer.

Thanks for the input. If I can get at least a couple years out of one for not crazy money, that will work.

Until the one day when you get a sweet deal on a Pro Mod. If it's gonna be anybody on the 'boa, it's gonna be you. :nick:

And on that day, decisions will be made.
