Swap meet, who's going?

I didn't see a thread about it so now seemed like a good time to ask. Who's going this weekend? As a seller and/or as a buyer?

91chevyz28 09-22-2016 07:47 AM

I will be going as a buyer. I'll have my S10 on the track in the show.

Havent been in years... its a junk show now

Jersey Mike 09-22-2016 11:40 AM

Yeah, last I heard it was a crapshoot. Can anyone who has gone in recent years chime in?

eric-86sc 09-22-2016 11:51 AM

I've gone to every one for the past 5 years. There's good stuff but it's hidden among a lot of junk. Got to scan every table. I go for third gen and small block stuff. A few of my deals recently there have been $25 recaro seats, $30 camel hump heads in good usable shape, $20 5 speed Camaro console with a clock, and countless delco radios for $5 a piece. It all depends on what your looking for when you go whether it's "worth it" or not

I've been there the last 2 years, spring and fall. Its almost all gabage there now. Very little useful stuff

BonzoHansen 09-22-2016 01:03 PM

haven't gone in years.

NJ Torque 09-22-2016 02:59 PM

Its pretty much a drunken party.

rockbox 09-22-2016 03:08 PM

If you're looking for used stuffed animals for the kids or a multi-colored, spinning wind chime - it's the place to be. There was a guy at the spring show selling used sneakers, I stocked up.

IROCZman15 09-22-2016 03:16 PM

I was hoping to take a day off of work and go down to be in the car show portion of it, but since I have no transmission in the car I won't be going.

This is 100% correct. I've been there a few time over the last few years and all I got was sunburn and sausage n pepper sandwich. Nothing better then eating a sandwich at the 1/8th mile lol

DirtyBird 09-22-2016 06:44 PM

Drunk whiskey tangos and junk fest

redsoxsstink 09-22-2016 07:16 PM

im going Saturday, nothing better to do. i go every year but never buy anything

ThoR294 09-22-2016 08:29 PM

Plenty of wolf T shirts too.

Last year I got 4 WRX wheels for $50. 2 $140 UPS backups for $20. I forget what else but there are hidden deals.

ted gerlach 09-23-2016 02:28 AM

i am going its my mini vacation, got to take a break from working 90 to 95 hours a week, i have a 95 impala ss i am parting out there, and some caddy 22 inch rims but nothing like i was many many years ago, might go looking for formula parts but thats about it,

B4C 09-23-2016 05:16 PM

There is still good stuff, you have to be willing to look. I got a fast 90 for $200 last year, a corbeau seat for $20, Magnesium c5 wheels with tires for $300, previous year got an arb winch bumper for my buddies fj cruiser for $250...there are decent stuff if your willing to deal with the drunken party people, and sift thru the junk.

6spdg37s 09-24-2016 08:06 PM

eric-86sc 09-25-2016 11:34 AM

Went yesterday and atayed through the mist/cold. Bought some $100 edelbrock tpi runners, $20 Camaro grid tail lights, $10 monsoon radio, and some other decent parts. Overall worthwhile

noboundreez2345 09-25-2016 12:58 PM

Damn now I wish I would have swung by killer deal on the rims.

very very hit or miss though ... i mean we took bicycles with us and rode around to cover more area faster.

but my opinion/feeling is alota the good **** gets sold on CL and FB and then whats left often ends up there.
