best way to burn/save dvr recordings to a dvd?
I wasn't sure if this was possible and plan to do some online research about it, but figured I would ask here:
Is there any "easy-ish" method to take DVR recordings that are on my Fios DVR box, and transfer them to a DVD or something so that I can save them and watch them in my garage on the tv/dvd/vcr setup? I don't want to spend a ton on money on this stuff, but I didn't know if you fellas had some type of trick. it looks like I would get a "dvd recorder" ? anyone have any good suggestions ? it also looks like some programs are copyrighted so they wont be able to be recorded. have you guys run into this issue and is it common ? thanks |
My friend has one of those DVD recorders. They don't care about copyright protection since you are recording the video output of the payer and putting it direct to the disc. I don't know what brand it is though. I don't think he has used it in years.
I think he also has another where he uses his computer to record the output of a video source to write the video to a file. |
