Do you know why Island has this listed for this Saturday, Sept 5?

that is not our meet.

Tom, from my understanding, Island has renamed the annual F-Body Nationals to The F-Body Fall Fling.
Typically, we will host our meet there in conjuction with this, but being that Island has scheduled the Fling for Labor Day Weekend, we felt it best to not host a meet that day & not bypass any scheduling conflicts members may have with the holiday weekend.

For that reason, the NJFBOA September 2015 meet will instead be on Saturday, 9/12/2015 at Island Dragway.

This gives us a little more time to spread the word amongst our friends, while also not having to choose between our vacation plans and a club meet.

thanks for the clarification Mike, because Labor Day weekend is late this year, there are a lot of car and non-car events going on this weekend

oh damn, I sooo wish I could go to this, but I have a bachelor party out in PA that day/night. would love to run the car at Island this year though. finished the NOS wet kit a few weeks ago and have been trying to find free time to make some passes. have fun though guys.

Have to work the 12th and 19th. Family party on the 27th. Too many weekend conflicts this year. One reason I decided to run Friday nights.

So, as you're all aware, we postponed this due to the poor weather conditions & pushed it to the rain date of Sunday, 09/27/15. With that said, I hope this turns out to be a big success. Last year's "2014 Island Meet" was rained out & even the Rain Date got rained out! So, we're crossing our fingers that mother nature cooperates this year & we can get as good an EVEN BETTER showing of club support than we did the year before last!

I think we had about 40 people, in all, come out for this event the last time we had it. And if memory serves me right, something like 25 members that drove out for a day of hanging out, showing their cars & some for racing!
