Swap Harness & ECU Question

Going to be going forth with a LS swap in a 00 Z28.

The Car- 2000 Camaro Z28 6 speed

The Engine Trans and Harness were taken out of the car in order to swap it over to an older Camaro. The car still has a interior harness and what not in it.

I have the chance to pick up a harness and ECU out from someone :bertstare: out of a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 4.8. Would that ECU and harness pair up and work with a plane jane 5.7 LS1? Or is there electronic TBs and what not ?

the 4.8 has a DBW so its electric TB

Assuming the throttle body being DBW instead of DBC is your only concern, could you run a C5 Vette throttle body to circumvent that?

PS-
Let the ****show begin.

Add in TPS and IAC connector to harness and you are golden. Least thats what the interwebz says and Al Gore wouldn't lie to me.

LTb1ow 09-12-2016 02:20 PM

Trans/Transfer case sold, sorry brah

They will work but you need the ecu & harness of respective vehicle. the 411 and E38/67 ECU's are totally different.

You can DBW an older ecu but you can not cable an newer ecu.
