Underdrive Pully

Would getting an underdrive pully kit be worth getting. Its cheap, and in theory, sounds good. As always, your opinions and help is appreciated.

I was looking at one on Summit Racing, part number ASP-541801.

He can't do that unless he wants to make 1 run before blowing the head gasket. Unlike Lt_'s the stock gen1 sbc has belt driven water pumps. The serpentine belt in the later year 3rd gens make it even harder to customize because everything is using 1 belt. I've yet to find a good way of going to an electric water pump and keeping the serp belt :( .

I would do that ... if verything didn't run off one belt; as fasterthenyou pointed out ... but my question still stands, is it worth spending the $60 and will I see any HP/Torque freed up (may articles claim its usually around 5-8 HP and 7 foot-pounds freed up)?
