1991 r/s convertible and 1992 L98 formula
2 of my babies outta the collection...91 r/s 'vert and '92 L98 formula cloned into a '92 firehawk tribute car. For those who don't know me, i'm dave in West Milford..been in the f/body game for years, owned an 'L69 '84 z28 and an '89 iroc years past.
old wheels on the camaro, bird before transformation.... http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...B4U/side22.jpg Camaro's new shoes and the bird still a work in progress...getting there though... http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...20317-1232.jpg http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...20317-1233.jpg http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...20317-1233.jpg Finally got the slp exhaust on! http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...20317-1234.jpg http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...20317-1234.jpg http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...20317-1234.jpg Next up...these recaro's are getting recovered red and going into the camaro http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...20313-2315.jpg A big thanks to my parts guru Ted for coming thru on authentic slp tri-y headers and y/pipe for the firehawk. (these will get jetcoated before install) Now i just need to convince my buddy to sell me his extra t-ram for that final touch!! http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...20318-0023.jpg http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...20318-0023.jpg |

Have you ever had that vert at a car show in north rockland last august
Both look sweet!

Nice cars!
These tailpipes look exactly like the ones that came on the Banks system I had in my 82 TA http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...20317-1234.jpg |
^ Correct! The guy i bought it from gave me these tips as well, being they are chrome variants i put them on instead........but i may relent and go w/the slp ones. Since i have the headers now and most likely get the slp cats, i want to keep it all slp nose to tail. Your one of a few that spotted that so now i MUST change this to the authentic setup...lol.
@chris, yes still have the vette..may have an offer this week but not sure if i still want to sell, kinda nice being debt free (besides the mortgage) @myfirstz, car has been to a few shows up in Rockland...rockland rodders event for the kids and pearl river on friday nights. ..thanks to all for the comments. |
That Camaro looks familiar, did I see it at the Chatterbox Drive in at the last meet we had up there? I may have met you if I did.
^ Yup...hows it going.

Not sure which wheels I like better, both look great on the Camaro. The Firehawk Tribute car is awesome, did you include the ZF 6 speed manual in there? |
Not going that route...probably just a t5 if i do a swap...hence the term 'tribute' vrs. 'clone'. Hope to see you back up at chatterbox this year.
I'll be there every saturday night, ideally unless something comes up. I'll definitely be at the meet in June, though don't count on seeing the 84 unless I hit the lottery. Doesn't have to be millions, 25K would be nice. Will watch for either F body there. And just a thought, but probably not worth it, if you really wanted to mimic a 6 speed in the tribute car you could swap a T56 in which would be easier. Though you're likely too far along to justify such a deal.

very nice rides man. gotta feel awesome to have 2 clean and modified 3rd gens.
Thanks but i rather have a nice 5th gen then these sometimes.
It's been a long time since I have seen a Banks exhaust - had on one my Camaro and another kit on my IROC. Nothing sounds better than a manual trans, hands down.
It is an slp exhaust w/banks tips the guy thru in w/the deal. Since the pic was taken i put on the original slp ones and sold the banks to someone else.
