upgraded to a double din touchscreen
ive been wanting to do this for a while, i figured i'd share. the install was a piece of cake besides figuring a way to get the steering wheel control module to work (after market product). crutchfield was great at setting me up with everything and took only 2 days to ship. i was going to buy a double din bezel from 6le for like $50.00, but the package deal i got from crutchfield the bezel was only about $10. the steering wheel control adapter, bezel, harness, and head unit all together costed me about $300 and i couldnt be more happy about how it turned out. it makes such a big difference in appearance inside the car and it is fun to play around with.

Looks good. Might be in my future plans. My pioneer just bit the dust.

have the same one in my SS

Looks great. I like the look of the double din units but with my vert, I anticipate the screen will get washed out by the sun. I may make the jump at some point with an android auto unit.

Nice. I had a kenwood dd in my car first, but along with taking so insanely long to boot up and being tempermental, i put a pioneer in.

The double din just looks like it was meant to be there in the first place!

This was one of my favorite mods to the car. Side note: I didn't know Crutchfield sold a DD bezel for us--I'll have to look into that!
Your set up looks great! |
