Getting aHead...Not!

http://a65.tinypic.com/fnts2s.jpg It's never good when you can remove a rocker without any tools. Tried a new set of 26" tires at the track and I bounced off the rev limiter going threw the lights. This is the end result. |
damn bro ! that sucks sorry to see... when was that ?
Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo damn!
This is a first for me... congrats? Joe, you never cease to surprise
That is wild!
That happened a few weeks ago at Etown test n tune, but with this heat I haven't been able to get under there and inspect the situation. After getting it off the trailer and taking off the valve cover this is what I found. Decision time.... Not sure what I will be doing next.
Damn! Never seen that before.
Wow, sweet carnage! Is that a weld below the rocker? Or just funny lighting?
Looks to be a welded. These heads must have been repaired once already. They were a Craig's List special. That's what ya get for budget build projects I guess.
i noticed that welding on it too. wheeew thats some damage!
Anyone have any pros/cons with the Trick Flow GenX 215s? Trying my best to not change the cam again. Looks like my cam will work nice with those heads.
Ouch. That's a new one. Good luck getting it back together.
Definitely due to that weld job. Never seen a head break like that before.
Those TFS heads will work great on your motor. |
But if it was welded that means it broke before?
Maybe when ported it broke through, and that's how it was repaired?
Either way, that sucks. |

I have to ask. Did the 26's hook? If so what were they

26x10.5s 17 psi Hooked up nicely. However the wheel moved in the tire. Almost a 1/4 inch according to the marks I made. |
I haven't found any DRs that don't hook. I've tried 15"and 16" MTs and Hoosiers both hook. Even hooked with 17" MTs

I picked up a set of the Radial pro (26x8.5) and they hook great. |
They are bias ply but I don't think they are the new ones. They are the MT 3752 model according to the Google machine.
