Camaros and Firebirds needed for Film and Photo shoots

Hi!

We're from Creative Film Cars in Manhattan. We provide special vehicles for film, television, fashion shoots, magazines and special events.

We would like to invite the members of your club to submit their vehicles to our film car database.

There is absolutely NO cost. Zero, zip, zilch, nada.
Your members will be paid if the car is used for a project.

On the day of the shoot the vehicle is fully insured and treated with the utmost respect. In most cases no driving will be required. They just have to look pretty. The owner is welcome to stay with the vehicle for the duration of the shoot, and has complete control over the use of their car. A check arrives a few days later. Voila!

Additional benefits, besides the check and hanging out with entertainment folks, are increasing the vehicles provenance, value, possible tax write-offs, and seeing their vehicles in print or on film.

Direct you membership to http://www.creativefilmcars.com/submit.htm where they can submit their vehicles. We do shoots primarily in the North East around New York City.

If you know of any other clubs in the area that might be interested please pass this on.

For more info give us a call at 212-864-4060 or go to www.creativefilmcars.com

Cheers,
Donald and John

Interesting, welcome!

Are you just collecting a database or are their some cars in your system that have been in movies?

Which movies?

Do you have any preferences on what you are looking for?

Stock, modified..... with the fast and the furious movies the public seemed to want big wings, lots of grafics and nitrous... is this what you are looking for?

Thanks for your time.

Dennis...could I borrow one of the cars for a day or two? (TTA, 02 White or even the 02 Yellow WS6 will suffice)

ar0ck 04-22-2005 08:40 PM

I sent some info through the main website.

The vehicle is fully insured under who? Lemme get this straight, we lend cars to you, you use them with the word that you'll treat them with respect, then return them back to us, and then we get to sit and wait for money to arrive.

seems logical

NJSPEEDER 04-23-2005 01:42 PM

i talked to these guys. it is all stright up.
they insure the vehicle fully during shooting. they will not use teh car to do anything you don't approve of. they also welcome you to stay and watch your car being used.

send in your cars gang. even if you don't think it is perfect looking, they keep all cars on file and may turn up something for you.

later

i wish mine was worth :?

or at least working for that matter :(

bad64chevelle 04-24-2005 07:37 AM

Fix it up jon, then we can do a 5 minute burnout so they can barely see the cars, therefor my paint wont look so crappy, and we get paid! then use that money towards new tires.

j0n 04-24-2005 09:21 AM

me likey above idea :D

Fastbird 04-24-2005 10:12 AM

my 85 c2500, a trailer, and 2 bobcat lawnmowers are out in long island city this week at a film shoot, but that was arranged through a friend of mine, but now that i see this post, ill send these guys my info for my ss, it can look pretty...too bad i havent washed it since fall englishtown.

camaro2you 04-25-2005 06:04 AM

would you be interested in pics of my project car 86z?

Untamed 04-25-2005 08:33 AM

My guess is, they won't monitor this thread for questions. Best to go to the website and submit pictures / info about the car. Who knows, even projects may be needed for junkyard scenes.

On that note, I should submit mine.

jims69camaro 04-26-2005 06:36 AM

amazingly enough, they have zero orange '69 camaros in their database...

*edit - only three camaros total ('68, '69 and '88 ) and zero firebirds. i'm not saying that there is a huge demand for camaros and firebirds, but if there is and your car is not listed, guess who is going to get the job?

creativefilmcars 04-26-2005 11:20 AM

Hey everybody,

Thanks for the great response!
Just to clarify some things:
In every shoot, your car is fully insured for the duration of its use, and we can provide you with a copy of the insurance binder prior to its use.

Before you decide to let us use the car, we will go over the details of how the car will be used. Most of our shoots are static in a studio, with the car not moving at all. If the car is to be moving in the shot, it is generally put on a process trailer and towed by a truck with a police convoy and photograped from the trailer.

In any event, you are in control of how your car is to be used, and you do not have to do anything that you are not comfortable with.

Also, our clients generally look for cars in very good condition, but also have a need for rougher looking cars, if that is what the shoot requires. We can also use non-mint cars as background cars for larger shoots.
Our ratty black '62 Meteor is a background car in the upcoming Carlito's Way prequel.

If you have any questions, please call us at 212-864-4060 and we will be happy to answer them.

Thanks again,
Donald

P.S.: I had a red '87 Firebird for seven years, and I still miss that car.

At your convenience, can you take a look at my post above?

I am curious what you are looking for etc.... thanks!

Sounds cool, looks like I'll be submitting some pics of the Hawk once I get it looking a little better.
