Attention 93 Speed Density Owners

And others interested.

Our site, www.speeddensity.org, was recently hacked, and we lost everything. We're in the process of reconstruction, and have gotten the forums back up, but it's unclear as of yet if we'll be able to reclaim any of our lost archives. I'd just like to extend an invite for any former members and anyone new wishing to join to stop back by and re-register. We're aiming to be better than ever now.

And this one is more secure than the last.

Mods, if you could leave this up we'd appreciate it, but if you can we understand. Thanks.

There were NO backups? Even old? That sucks. Just curious, was that site mainly for 93 owners only? If so, that might be why I didn't contribute much.

The hackers jacked everything. Corrupted. Some of it is salvagable, but the new forums don't support the old stuff.

The site was mainly for the 92-93 LT1's but we had a broad base of members ranging from 1st gen guys to LS1 guys. Anyone is more than welcome to sign up.

That sucks man, I don't stick my head in there very often, so I hadn't heard about it.

What forum software is being used for the new site?

phpBB 2.0.10 is what I pulled directly off the forum page. I don't know for sure though, because I'm not the one who set the new one up. Supposedly it's much more secure than the last one.

Replied. That should fix it, if not, let me know.

You may want to pass the word on to whoever is in charge of the site, but 2.0.10 actually has some security issues that have been widely published. Upgrade it (free) to 2.0.14
