brake and gas lines

Should i get original lines or go to stainless steel ones? thanks

for fuel lines the originals will work just fine.
for brake lines upgrading to braided is a good idea. it has less flex which means more of the fluid pressure makes it to the caliper. always a good thing when trying to stop.

I upgraded to Earl's braided steel brake lines..... with speed bleeders.

I'm happy.

For gas I like aluminum lines. They're 10 times easier to bend and get into place. Don't use aluminum lines if they're in a low spot that could easily get scrapped.
For brake line, if the steel is cheaper than stainless by a significant amount, go for it and just paint it. Stainless IS an upgrade and personally I'd do that upgrade so as to never have to worry about it. Not to mention the resale value doesn't hurt when stainless parts replace rusty steel :) . Definatly go with braided flex line. They're TONS better for feel and if you're a real driver you'll appreciate it.
