Parting out 86' Trans Am

Pics avaliable upon request. Inquire about the specific part(s) and I'll give information. This thing is taking up too much room and I was told to get it out. My brother turned down buying it, so I'm left with parting it. You can buy it complete without the carpet and exhaust for $450 Firm, but there is alot of rust on the floor panels. Most of the interior is not in there, but I still have it! It still runs!!!! Good project.

how much for the dash, cat-back, and engine?

enRo 06-06-2005 05:37 PM

Dash is missing the speaker covers and vents. It has no cracks or distortions. $30.
From the Highflow Cat and back, Im asking $190. It has about 2000 miles on the Cat and about 5000 miles on the rest. Click here for the sound and disreguard the popping, thats the 305 backfiring
Engine still runs, Ill include the ECM with it as well, $75 but it isnt yanked yet, and won't be yanked til either this weekend or next weekend

10-4, Highly Understandable :-)

I decided to keep the frame, but 80% of the car is gonna be stripped and started from scratch, because now I have a really good budget to build it back up. As for the exhaust, Ill be removing it this weekend, and the engine/tranny will be removed next friday and saturday, depending on the weather. The Grandmother 305 has a valve problem (hence the loud popping with revs over 2000 RPMS). Im looking into a 350 or 400 ATM.

Anyway, for the people who are interested in the exhaust, and wanna see/hear what its like, heres a video. Ignore the little neighbors screaming in the background and focus on how well this sounds on a 305 with stock headers. :-D BTW, when i started to rev it a bit, the choke kicked back on so it was idling at 1400. LOL Enjoy
