New to the board
Howdy all,
I have been doing 77-81 Firebirds for the past 15 years. I just came across the site and joined. I am surprised I did not find it before. I have a 1980 Firebird Formula that is being fully restored. If you want to see the pictures, just go to http://www.jtresto.com/project.html. I hope to see some of you guys out at the T/A Nats in Dayton. |

Thanks all for making me feel welcome. I have owned a lot of T/A's (Just sold my 78 I took to the T/A nats last year) and a bunch of Firebirds. I also owned a 1981 Z/28 last year. I have owned my Formula since High School so I can never get rid of it. I tore it apart 4 years ago to do a full on resto/mod rebuild of the car the way I wanted. I know what cars won the big shows and mine should be up there with them. If I don't win anything, I know the cars that beat me will be worthy of it. Here is a little infomation on some of the things I have done:
New Quarters New Floor Pan on Drivers Side, Patches on Passenger Side New Tailpanel New Doors New Fender New Hood New Radiator Support Pulled Subframe sandblasted and POR 15'd Rebuilt Front Suspension with PST PolyGraphite New Heater Core New A/C Components Coming soon: Rebuilt Disc Rear with 3.42s from Turbo T/A TH350 Rebuilt Rebuilt 455 .060 estimated 475hp Redone interior back to original Original Style Paint (White with blue on bottom) Basicly, everything new with detailing to a stock look. At first glance it will seem to be a detailed original restoration with factory markings and all. I would have to be in the heavy modified classes for everything I have going into the car. It's only money! 8) |
Sounds like it will be quite a fun car!
Welcome to the club :D - Justin |

Welcome to the boards. Don't suppose you have another 77-81 TA lying around that you'd trade for an 88 TA project? Had to ask. :) |
