GM parts store

I'm looking for a good place in central NJ or northern NJ near the Morristown area, that sells GM parts beyond your typical AutoZone, Car Parts, Sears, etc.

Specifically, I'm looking for Rocker Cover Adapters, GM part # 24502540. I could order them, however I'd like to see if theres someplace that has them cheaper.

Thanks.

Check out original parts group, I know they have them. They might be more than GMpartsdirect.com but you never know.

All the more reason not to go there.

Searched a few places and seems no one has it in stock, though they al volunteer to order it. Mr Gasket doesn't seem to have one on their website either.

Guess I'll just order one from GMPD tomorrow if nothing pops up.

Thanks guys.

talk to bob maguire before hand or your local gm parts place...gmpd will rape you when it comes to shipping charges.

Yeah thats why I'm waiting until tomorrow. Gonna call around the dealerships first, in about an hour.

Thanks.

Yes, and if you do your cheap shipping, the parts take FOREVER to come. I tried the cheap route when I bought my exhaust manifold from gmpd, and it took almost a whole month to get to me.

Thanks for the help guys. After calling around I've decided to abandon the idea and just stick with the proper valve covers for the heads. A few bucks for new covers and gaskets beats a few hundred for an adapter with no guarantee that they'll be here before the swap.
