I need to install my QTP LT's. Who can help! lol
 

Im picking them up hopefully next thrus/fri. They're running behind schedule.
I really would like to install these myself, and save about $400. Im going to mufflex for a custom Y and to install the electric cutout. But the headers Id like to do.

Now, i dont know much about doing this kind of job, ive done all the reading i can do, but nothing can compare to experience. Plus, im minus all the equipment neccessary to get this done. No lift, no tools, just the headers and a serious desire to get them installed.

Anyone capable/available to help me out? lol I can do it next weekend if I have them, or pretty much anytime thats good for you. Hell we can make this a group effort if we got enough interest.

its gonna be a complete pita without the correct tools...check out my old website for some install tips www.geocities.com/foff667 have fun...i did it myself on my pad in my backyard in less then a day so its not impossible to do by yourself...just without the right tools you will not have a good day.

lol i know that. which is why i need to do this with a couple people who have access to the proper equipment. doing this on my own wont happen in a day, and i need tools, so either way. lol i need help! im in a bad spot here.

ok heres what I would do...buy a good gear wrench set(best tool investment I ever made) the 10mm gear wrench is a huge necessity in this install...a good jack would be a very good investment, 2 car jackstands and 2 truck jack stands, a good mechanics set from like HD or lowes that comes with a spark plug socket, possibly a sawsall...you'll also either need sims or to tune out the rear o2's so you dont throw a code.

the thing is he could buy $200 in tools and stuff and still have $350 left over from what he wouldve paid if he had a shop do it...and be ahead of the game with a bunch of crap for the next time he wrenches :)

this is all true. now all i need is someone with experience to help me out. lol doin that **** alone would be boring as hell either way. my buddy has a jack i can buy or borrow im sure, my other friend has 2 car jackstand, all i need are the tools and truck jackstands. btw, what are those for? holding the front or rear?

look at the pics on my site...and how far i had to jack that some bitch up...i had the rear on regular stands and the front up almost as high as the truck stands would go.

do you have to install those from the bottom? nevermind, I'm almost positive that you do :lol: . if you need some extra hands, let me know when you plan on doing it and I'll try to make myself available. :)

Hey Santino, I don't know if you remember me we met once at Wawa on 37 in the winter. Anyway my buddy has two ramps, two jackstands and a cherrypicker if ya need to jack up the motor. Lemme know.

slp on fbody right? dan was it? no i def remember u. lol i see u all over the place. seaside a lot too. ya man ill def keep u in mind. from what i know u gotta drop the headers from under the car. i may even talk to my regular mechanic and see if i can maybe rent his shop out for a day or something. im waiting for pricing from a friend of jimmys first. thanks dude tho i really appreciate it. u gotta meet up with us sometime @ the bus depot.
