sunday at island dragway
 

i'm new to this website and this past sunday was my first time at that track,i have a white 1984 camaro with a 4banger, for my first car,so my friends wanted to go to island dragway, it was very interesting, there were some nice f-body cars, and i saw this white firebird that i liked,till i saw the car go, what a car, i was looking at it in the lanes and he was telling somebody that its a small block chevy making 844hp,with a 23 degree head,for all motor,what ever that means,plus he said the car would go low 9s or 148mph, is this possible,i could not wait for it to go down the track again,thats acool car. thats what i want to try on a sunday race my car.

Nice to have another new member interested in racing. If you haven't seen the info about it already, we will be having a large show/meet at Island Dragway on August 14. We have the track to ourselves for the day, and we will have racing and a car show.

I was there running. I think I know the trans am you were talking about (white with blue stripes?), and i believe it is a small block. I dont think the guy would ******** about that. Either the driver or one of his crew members is a member on here, but can't remember his name.

that was me at island on sunday-(jrsfast84) and yes, i wouldn't bull ****,yes its a sbc-440", iron heads, 844hp is what it made on dyno, all motor is right. so someone heard me talking,thats all right,i'm planning on being there again on August 7th., got new tires, another- new pair of shocks,maybe it will leave the line this time. i hope so, i'd like to be there on the 14th. see you's at the track. I was there, but I wasn't racing. I had a blue LS1 SS. I didn't see many fbodies at all. I thought TITE was cancelled since there wasn't anyone there. Hopefully, one of these days I'll get tuned and then I can race again.

TITE was cancelled, theres all kinds of updates on it at fbody.com.

Well, hell. That would explain alot. Now it's all the way down at Atco. Oh well, maybe I'll have nothing going on that day for a nice ride. Thanks for the info.
